Lunch out with bil and his girlfriend. Lovely treat at a new chef-owned restaurant. On to a party this evening. We are so social this year. :-)

Belated thanks for the beautiful Chanukah wishes. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues this month so I haven't gotten back here. Someone commented that I should take notes at the Y, but I really don't have to do that, they don't do any too different than what I do at home, when I do it (sigh); it works out better when I get out and do it with a group. So far the weather is cooperating, but some days my health isn't.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy celebrations of life with family and friends.

Today is usually the day I go to the Y, but not today...weather is sleeting and freezing rain. Driving is dangerous so staying home. Yesterday hubby and I moved boxes around in the basement so I could get my treadmill up and running. The boxes are from packing up the first floor while the hardwood flooring was put in and we are just now trying to get organized and putting stuff away or donating stuff. I really like the openness of the rooms now and hate to clutter it up again. So there is still a lot of work ahead of us. (Sigh) Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas celebrate with family and friends. I know we did with my kids and granddaughter.

Isn't it great when you see your rooms without all the clutter? We have been slowly going through the rooms and trying to cut back on the stuff in each room. We took a whole load of stuff to the thrift shop in Nov. I hope to do the same in Jan. I had forgotten how big our rooms were :).

I'm sure setting up the threadmill will help a lot.

Happy New Year, granmanana, hope the new one treats you kindly.

BIL goes for tests and/or surgery for PAD tomorrow. His wife is here on leave from work. Other BIL flying in, and my dear, dear SIL needs to stay put to help expectant daughter. We are tense but very hopeful the procedure will help him.
Thank heavens for all the research on these medical issues.

Retirehappy--I can't believe the difference no clutter makes, its amazing! We got rid of the curtains, too, and use Shoji screens at night. Now we're going through all other stuff. It will take awhile, but I think we are serious about downsizing and need to get a move on.

Sharondtd--not sure what PAD is, but it probably isn't good. Sending prayers and good vibes for your BIL and your family.

Hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year.

Sharon, hoping all goes well for your BIL. Such a rough thing to go through during the holiday season. And yes, knowledge can be a comfort.

Your kids will appreciate your downsizing efforts too. Last year moving my mother out of her apartment of over 15 yrs. was a nightmare for my sister and me. We are working on thinning out things, it is a long process and a LOT of work. But I don't want to put anyone through what we went through last year.

The bonus is your life is simpler and easier to deal with in the here and now.
