Hi,
I am Lauren, I am new to plant based eating, well about 6 months. I am not 100% but would like to be. I am mostly looking for quick, easy recipes and ways to eat for lean muscle I am also looking for family friendly advice!
Where is everyone else at in their plant based lifestyle? Books, authors, blogs, recipe sources your follow daily?
Thanks!

The cookbooks I love and use regularly:
The China Study Cookbook - love, love it! The Nutty Noodle recipe in there is amazing - all quick meals for those of us who work!
My Beef with Meat by Rip Esselstyn - great book and you must make the Adonis chocolate cake!
any of the Happy Herbivore cookbooks are great
As to kids or family friendly, adults seem more willing to try - the taste buds will change as long as you stick with it and in time, tastes will explode and you wonder how you ever ate any other way.
Kids are tougher - my youngest at 6 is more open to fruit and veggies - she loves broccoli and salads - and tonight we are doing a run/ walk together - my oldest at almost 11 is tougher so I sneak in the good stuff with organic and whole grains.........he is more a work in progress.
Also, the Forks Over Knives cookbook is wonderful - you must make the Walnut Brownies - heavy in weight, decadent and to die for!0 -
I really love www.ohsheglows.com. I've been cooking recipes from her site often and it's been working for me. I also got an antioxidant test run a the doctor yesterday and scored in the highest percentile. I was very pleased because I had been a little worried about whether or not I was eating a nutritionally sound diet. I also love Happy Herbivore and the china study cookbook too! Welcome!0
