Hi All,
JUst wondering if anyone has a "tried and tested" recipe for keto bread?
I found a recipe here but am also interested in knowing what others do? (I'm craving a toasted sandwich but am not willing to break my keto-streak and have regular bread) http://www.yumdimsum.me/keto-bread/
Thanks and happy Friday!!!

Juustoleipa is delightful, and has lots of yummy fat.
I'd warn you about trying too many faux recipes because of 'cravings'. Cravings are emotional, and getting past the emotional desire for types of food is really a big key to success in this WOE.
Having said that, the fathead pizza crust can be turned into a nice flat bread if you don't truss it up with toppings.0 -
I've also used the fathead crust wrapped around hot dogs to make "bagel dogs". It did really well so I'd say the above flatbread idea would work out great!0

9 (4 net). But they are not that easy. I'll be making my third attempt in a couple of days. The second attempt was better than the first - but the dough was still way to sticky to manage. (The first time the dough was closer to a thick pancake batter.) I'm adjusting the psyllium husks and playing with ground chia seeds.0 -

Oh thanks! Hmmm ok yea now it sounds tricky if the dough is that consistency. I'll probably try this weekend.0 -
I mix up 30g almond flour, an egg, half a teaspoon of baking soda, and some water (couple of tablespoons roughly) and then spoon it onto a tray with baking paper, making two. Spread it out a little and bake in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes roughly (starts to brown a little when it's cooked). This is a quick, easy sandwich substitute. I normally put ham and cream cheese on them, but you can also toast or grill cheese them.0
