Since I have been working out 4 days a week, I am finding that my skin is starting to suffer from dryness. Moisturizing shower gel is helping a bit, but I am wondering if there are other suggestions out there that are working for people.
I also use Ultra Swim shampoo, which I buy on Amazon for my hair and bathing suits. I have chlorine-resistant suits, but find that using the shampoo to wash them completely eliminates the chlorine odour, and is increasing the longevity of the swim suits. I have been using two suits for more than a year now, whereas before I would have to buy one every three months.
What solutions have you found?

Just looking on Amazon and found these suggestions:
Cover your body with vaseline before a swim.
Make of spay of 1 TBSP of Vitamin C/ascorbic acid to 1 cup of water to neutralize the chlorine. Spray on skin before showering.
Hmm. I may try this last one as a soak for my swim suits.0 -
Since swimming and aquasize 3-4 days a week, I'm also feeling the effects of the pool chemicals. I use UltraSwim shampoo and conditioner, and that does help some. I switch it up with another shampoo called Detoxify by Kevin Murphy and just use a good organic conditioner afterwards. The Detoxify is a very natural and organic product, but also quite expensive. If I know I'll be getting my head in the water, I will also use a pre-swim spray on my hair. I can't recall the name of it, but I got it at Sally Beautify Supply and it's specifically for swimming.
I don't have a set "schedule", but about 2-3 days a week I swim additional laps after aquasize. On those days I usually wash my hair after swimming. On the days I just do aquasize I don't always get my hair completely wet. I pin it up with barrettes and clips and it just gets a little damp around the edges. On those days I just rinse out the part that got wet (if any) and don't wash it. My hair can't handle that much shampooing anymore.
As far as skin conditioning, I use a very moisturizing lotion from Tree Hut (also organice ingredients) after showering. About once a week or so I will use organic coconut oil all over to boost the moisturizing. I also use that about once a week on my face as a nighttime moisturizing treatment.
I'm not sure about the Vaseline idea. Seems a bit strange to me and probably not something I will try. I wouldn't really want that floating around in the pool if other people were doing it, and I'm afraid enough of it would come off during swimming to make it kind of iffy.0
