Muscle recovery

I am losing muscle mass rapidly on cutting.... Ny suggestions? :(

    The first question I would have would be

    How do you know you're losing muscle?

    As far as ways to mitigate it:

    1) Keep rate of weight loss reasonable. .5-1% change in BW per week on average.
    2) Keep protein high. There's some debate on this topic but I tend to set it to 1g/lb bodyweight for people who are not overweight, slightly higher if you're looking at single digit bodyfat.
    3) Keep resistance training and reduce volume instead of intensity given the choice.
    4) Related to 1) -- keep the deficit rather small.
