Good time to gather ourselves and remember we do not want to start from the beginning come January 2016!. Keep the focus and remember it is a HoliDAY and not a HoliMONTH. Eating healthy makes you want to move more...moving more makes you want to continue to eat healthy. Have a great week, gang!

Week #1 29.72

    Goal for December - 120 miles & 10 over 10,000 steps

    Total - week 1 = 23 miles & 2 over 10,000.

    Finally a bit of snow to make everything look clean. I should still be able to walk in my shoes though, and it is really nice weather wise. Now just to get out there!!

    Our family 's annual Christmas tree hunt is this weekend, so 29 people and 5 little kids under the age of 4 in my house .... no only 9 of them are staying overnight!! And my little granddaughter is one of them... she is pretty excited about coming to Grandma's house!! Me too!! I have a bit of control over the food.... I am cooking a turkey and supplying the vegetables and the fruit. There are a couple of salads coming and only 1 desert!! I better get in a couple more walks before the weekend!!

    Sounds like fun! We have our extended family Christmas in Indiana this weekend. That means hours in the car...and I'm not being so responsible with the food that I'm taking (actually, I tried out one of the desserts on my coworkers here, yesterday). Hopefully I can chase some kiddos around for a bit.

    Snow! I wish...it's mid 60s here, and supposed to be in the 70s over the weekend. :( Hopefully we will get cooler soon!

    I didn't go to Zumba yesterday. Felt pretty awful when I got home from work and went to bed again. I did get up and get some steppage. The sad thing is that I know if I went, it would have been an energy boost. Oh well.

    9th - 3.34 miles = 33.88 miles, 3/10

    Feel like I've been lazy since my last check in. The family thing was...eventful. I got a call on my way that my grandfather was going to the ER with chest pain. (Thankfully turned out to be nothing...he just missed visiting with family...he was still in the ER after it was over, so we went there to visit for a couple of hours before heading home.) We got our Christmas shopping done. I took an extra day off work and instead of being productive, I piddled around the house and took a long nap in the middle of the day...LOL.

    Here's the check-in...doesn't look too bad, but I need to get to work on the 5+ days.

    10 - 4.04
    11 - 3.77
    12 - 2.78
    13 - 3.85
    14 - 2.5 (lazy nap day)

    Total = 50.82, 3/10

    17 days to go, 69.18 miles to go for 120 and 7 days to hit 5....
