I think I've used this thread starter before...but it made me chuckle so here it is again!

Marla - Glad to see you're meeting new people in your new home! And well done on the weight loss! That's fantastic!

Sherry - I'm with you. Just trying to get all the big projects done while chaos reigns so that January I'll be in a very good place to get a normal routine in.

Yesterday I managed to get all my church stuff done for Sunday, and I cleaned my dad's car from top to bottom (they gave it to us as a gift and we're selling it as it's impractical for us at the moment) except for vacuuming. Hoping that will be sold soon, as that will be a huge load off of our minds. My hubby dug out satan's bush (a bougainvillea) and dismantled our decrepit swing set and brought it all to the dump...another load off our minds. The kids helped me pick up the entire house so it's now functional again. My goal today is to spray the yard for weeds so the HOA doesn't jump down our throats, and to start assembling all the presents and wrapping them. Also a run to the store for some groceries and to get any presents we a missing so I can mail them out at the start of next week. Also want to make gingerbread houses with the kids.

Have a great day! Planning to start my running back up tomorrow as I'm almost back to 100%!

I remembered typing a response yesterday and was wondering why it wasn't there. Then I remembered I had started it while waiting for the doctor & she walked in so I closed out of the app & never did go back.

Val it must feel so good to get that stuff done! When I rented a dumpster this summer it was liberating.

Congrats on the 8 pounds Marla! That's so great. And I'm happy to read you're already making new friends.

Sherry that's bad about your leg. Does it only hurt when you run, or at other times too? What hurts? Could it be tendinitis of some kind?

I had an appt yesterday to follow up on my antidepressant. After having a bad reaction to 2, I told my doctor I was done. We had originally set this appointment to see if she could take me off the first one I tried, so I told her I felt like it got me over the hump like she intended. She agreed and prescribed staying active & bumping up my vitamin D intake.

I also asked about the dizzy spells so she did a quick exam. I have some cloudy fluid in both ears and no signs of infection so she said it is the congestion from the head cold. She prescribed meclizine for the dizzy spells. Looks like I could also get this OTC (I have the Walgreens version of Dramamine) but the pharmacy slip says no refills - dr auth required, so not sure why it's different, if at all. Anyway that's 1 every 6 hours as needed. Typically this takes 10-14 days to clear up & yesterday was day 10. When I told her that she said it can take up to 21 days. No restrictions on activities though - working out won't make it worse - so I'm only limited by the dizziness.

I ran 5 miles this morning. Longest run (without walk breaks) in over a year. It felt good too. I went out with the intention to run at a very easy pace, and did. I'm slower than where I was before my foot & leg injuries but my heart rate is also lower so that's okay.

Funny pic! You both sound busy.

I guess I will learn not to brag, i had my neighbor over to make cookies with kids, ate some then had wine with her and it triggered me, i couldnt stop eating last night.

I gained a pound back today. I was better today but realized this will never be easy, everytime i think i have this down i am eating good, something happens.

Why can't i be like my skinny friends who no matter the situation, party, etc never eat too much?

I miss working out, place i go for machines is m-f only and its pouring rain daily now.
