^ I'm still working on learning this.

Marla - hope your walk was enjoyable! It is actually in the 50s here in Phoenix so my run was a bit chilly. But I kind of enjoy this nice brisk weather, with a bit of rain. Probably because it's rare.

My run went well. Did just over 5 miles and kept a good pace. Ran with my hubby which is nerve wracking. He's a lot faster and seems to feel the need to offer a fairly consistent stream of suggestions for ways I could improve. It irks me as running is not natural for me and it batters at my fairly fragile self-image. But it was a chance to expand myself a bit. But probably won't do it again for a while.

Had the kids paint Christmas ornaments which we will bake today and then they'll be all set to be wrapped and sent off to the grandparents. We had a nice and relaxing evening and read stories and watched movies and cuddled. It was very satisfying even if it wasn't terribly productive. Day off today, so going to get Christmas cards done and wrap presents so that Christmas chores will be behind me!

    Have a great day everyone!

Val, find a girlfriend jog partner, or go alone if you don't you will start to lose what you love about running. I say this because i invite my hubby to do my walks with me, to be nice, to give him exercise, to spend time together...but most times i regret it.

He will go slower than me, want to stop after a short time, talk about serious stuff. My walks are almost religious to me, i go for both exercise and peace of mind. It clears my head, but not when i am with him.

The other day i ran into my neighbor and dog at parking lot and we went for longer walk, she goes faster than me but not by much it felt good, we both enjoyed the walk. Back in Leavenworth, WA i would go with girlfriends a lot or alone, Mike rarely because same as here. I think i invite him more because he needs to get out.

Doing christmas cards today, yesterday my back hurt bad so i watched xmas movies. Went for long walk and jogged about 20% of it. I think my back was stress though, my hubby was freaking out about doctors and i let him trigger me.

Also first pure sun day in weeks, going for long walk later. Tomorrow i joined hiking group and doing 5 mile walk at Arcata marsh. Luckily partly sunny day...i say luck because next 10 days after that rain...

    HI!
Val, glad to hear you survived the hubby run. Lol!
    Marla, celebrate the sun, whoohoo!

Got unfun embassy paperwork done yesterday, but a little walking killed my legs. I'm proud that i was very productive at home yesterday and again today. But my legs were really bad today walking home from the tutor, and well, just generally getting worse. Talking to my father in law about it yesterday, I told him I might consider taking ibuprofen (Advil)...well he basically took me straight to the pharmacy to buy some. So now I have it and am taking it, but so far it hasn't helped. :( It's rare for me to take a med, so I hope it works. More Christmas bazaars, parties, shows, and also school grades are on the horizon, although I think they will all be over-with by Tuesday when DH returns. And I'd better have some of my closet cleaning complete too by then!
