Hey everyone! And happy holidays!
Although my activity level has been up, my eating has been horrendous. Attempted a fast yesterday and managed 694cals after subtracting my exercise Another fast was attempted on...wait now that I look at myfit Monday: 667cals Tuesday: 946cals and Wednesday: 694cals all calories after exercise, but guess that's ok. Today will not be ok, Woke up early to take the hubby to the train station at 6am so I was up at 5am. Got all the (6) kids ready and in the car however, what was our treat for getting in the car so early? McDonald's hash browns of course! Oh and a Carmel Frappe for me
Do you ever sit and plan how naughty your going to be, hee hee! I have found that I was much more under control when I was stuck at my computer going over my thesis sipping tea, but now I am so laxed that I sit and watch Netflix and what better to go with that but snacks! The holidays will be tough, yesterday my husband and I went to the shops and bought all the fun holiday treats (for the kid [yah right!]) tins, tins, tins of biscuits, chocolates, crackers, crisps, popcorn...you name it.
This does works for me however. It is tough because I normally eat what the kids are eating, however on fast days I give then Heinz Baked beans on toast (as an American on British soil) doesn't appeal to me, so this is a great tip. Oh and defiantly, defiantly, can not stress this enough... brushing your teeth when you finish you last meal on fast day. Works for me every time!

Cheering you on Snaps...holidays are tough, don't be too hard on yourself; have fun and then use the new year to reinvigorate yourself (now if I could only listen to my own advice.)
Enjoy0 -
I lost 2 pounds this week. Very pleased so far with 5:2! I'm sure the big losses will stop soon, but I'll take it while I can.
I do try to plan out my "naughty" days. If I know I'm going to a party, or out to eat, I'll eat lighter earlier in the day to save up some calories, but I do believe that indulging every once in a while is okay. This needs to be a lifestyle, not a temporary thing. I'm not going to completely give up fattening foods, I just try to be more moderate about them.0 -

First off, you're doing an awesome job! And secondly, wise words bolded!!! Totally agree, food (and treats) are meant to be enjoyed not avoided....I need a plaque with that statement on it for these plateau weeks!!0 -

Cheers Orlcam! Totally going to take your advice. Tried to fast today no breakfast, good...grilled cheese and Oreos for lunch, bad! All eyes on the New year!!!0 -

Not eating during the day and saving calories for dinner has been my strategy. That way even underestimates don't threaten to put me over 500 cal. Tonight was chicken w/ a sauce made of fresh mushrooms and cream of broccoli soup served over steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Had plenty of calories available to do a salad w/ Italian dressing. Best guess has me under 400 calories so a couple tangerines may be in my future.0 -
Well I'm off work for two weeks and have more plans than I wanted. ...but no social obligations today, that include a meal, thus I am sneaking in a fast Might be the only one I can get in until the 4th.
Got up late, off to the hairdressers and later of to walk my care horse. So a fast should be no big problem. Only obstacle...I have to go food shopping. But I'm gonna pull that off too
Have a great day!0
