Hey everyone! I'm almost completely done with Christmas stuff! I'm planning to finish all the wrapping this afternoon and mail things out either this evening or tomorrow morning. Then I'll be completely set! It's a huge relief! I was supposed to run yesterday, but I didn't sleep well (I was annoyed at my hubby. Should have talked to him but didn't and paid the price. It wasn't even a big deal. Just stress and he's oblivious sometimes to what needs to be done unless I spell it out for him. I didn't, he didn't help because he didn't realize I needed it and I got mad. The joys of marriage lol) So I slept in a bit. Had one school party yesterday and one today. Then school is all done for two weeks. I'm ready! The kids can just get up and watch TV while I run so I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn. It's quite cool here...highs in the fifties and sixties so getting up before the sun means temps in the twenties and thirties. It's supposed to stay these temps for the foreseeable future.
In other news, my pastor is meeting with personnel committee this Sunday to discuss putting me on the payroll. Up until this point everything I've done as a staff member has been volunteer only, but hopefully starting in January, if the committee agrees, they'll start paying me $100 a week for the work I'm doing. He wants it to eventually to be more, but being a church they don't have a lot of extra money right now. I'm excited to be making extra income doing exactly what I've already been doing.
Sherry - I hope the Ibuprofen works! Good luck with the rest of your Christmas things!
Marla - A creative writing class does sound fun! I'm also being tempted by many, many, many Christmas treats!
Laura - I can't believe your still having vertigo! How much longer is it supposed to last?
Have a great start to your weekend! I plan to watch the Muppets Save Christmas with my kids and drink hot cocoa. An evening off is definitely in order! I have a 14 mile long run tomorrow morning. I'm skipping my Pilates class until my marathon as I don't want to get up at 3am to get my long runs in and so I need to have Saturday's off so I can run later (the rest of the week I have to get kids up and out the door in the morning). Fingers crossed the run goes well!0 -
Hi all. Val I had the opposite happen to me this morning. My hubby exploded for a short time from stuff he was holding in that I had no idea about because he didn't say anything! So talk talk talk....
I am trying hard to talk myself into the machines today as another set of over a week of rain. They are old machines and not fun to be on. I keep telling myself its only for a few months and next winter new gym will be done!
We are going out with a couple tonight, wish us luck! I say that because I am easy to make friends with but my hubby can either be super friendly with great sense of humor or if someone brings up a topic that sets him off he can get angry. I am so hoping for a good night. We are going to see a fun band with lady I have been volunteering with for Bernie and her hubby.
I feel like I am in high school meeting new friends and worried if they will like me! lol
I didn't exercise yesterday because of a bunch of errands so must try harder today!

Val, the home stretch for school, yay for you! And potential new income! You're getting started on a great 2016 already!
Marla, lol about high school friend-making! Hope y'all have fun.
Well the ibuprofen didn't help much today, but maybe I just got off to a bad start having to walk downtown and back the morning. I hate this! I can't even walk to my husband's office! But, got sons grades which were pretty good and good remarks from teacher about him. He's on a "be more mature" kick and it's heavenly! He helps with stuff and we talk on a totally different level now. In other news, I sorted and cleared stuff out like crazy today...toys, files, miscellaneous (junk). Things are getting so organized, like I'm supposed to live (I'm a Virgo). Now if I can just deal with the influx when DH arrives from USA with suitcases full of stuff from MIL. Anyway, school lasts til Wed. I can make it. I think I can I think I can.0
