Laura - I hope you're feeling better! That was still a good run, especially since it was cold out!

Marla - There are some family members where if they're being self destructive and won't listen to reason, you kind of just have to distance yourself from. I'm glad he granddaughter is reconnecting with him though! And good luck on presents shopping!

Hubby and I have no idea what to get each other so we're thinking we'll just plan something special for us to do together or get some thing for both of us. Not sure what or when that will be but it seemed more reasonable then stressing out about presents. Pushed my run back a day so I could sleep in today. My knees still felt a little weak last night after that long run and I think it was the best idea. So I have an 8 mile run tomorrow instead.

I'm meeting with some friend who wants to sell me cleaning supplies that are more natural. I hate these things, but I'll hear her out at least. Not much else planned, wanting to take a week to just relax and enjoy life. Maybe get some stuff done for church. Have a great Monday!

I wish we could take presents out of christmas. I like just being with friends and family enjoying a good meal or playing games. It makes me nervous trying to figure out what to get people. I preferred when we lived further away and i had excuse to give GC.

I already got Fitbit on black friday and i bought hubby new kindlefire on cyber monday, he doesnt know, i managed to get the mail day it came.

He will buy me something else, he likes to shop. I hate wasting money....had to bite tongue on how much he spent on daughters bracelet. He shops like we have money, but if i said anything, i have before, he will take back, buy something cheaper, then be depressed about it. This year i figured since we dont have mortgage i will hold my tongue. Of course its not fair that i buy my kids gifts for less than $50 and he spends $250!

I only have younger daughter, who is hard to buy for and stocking stuff left. We buy silly stuff for fun to fill our stockings. Things like homemade spiced nuts, funny socks, etc

Just walking around exercise today. Didn't sleep well either.

My immediate family is my parents, my sister & her husband, their 4 kids (3 of whom are married), their 3.5 kids, and a cousin 5 years older than I am who moved in with us when she was in junior high.

A few years ago we started drawing names for the adults because it got to be too much, so we each shop for one adult ($50 gift) and then we all buy for the kids. We set a price because we have one person who would be buying $300 gifts and one person who would be buying $10 gifts (seriously that person bought me the most hopeless frying pan for my birthday one year and said "I was going for cheap, not for quality") so that makes it fair.

That took a lot of the stress out of shopping! I drew my niece's husband this year, and I had my nieces help me pick out gifts for their kids. A couple years ago my oldest niece wasn't very helpful with gift ideas for her 2 boys so I bought them stuff I knew she would hate (one got Playdough and the other got some kind of painting kit) so now she's a lot more helpful with gift ideas. ha ha.

So today I'm getting TOM, which is great since I'm on a shot that is supposed to keep me from having TOM. My hormones are going to be the end of me.

I know a lot of families do that. I wish we would. Problem is my family would go along with it but not my husband and his family. Thats part of what you deal with in more than one marriage.

I ended up finding my younger daughter some really cute pj's i found at small boutique.
