Dealing with excuses

I'm struggling to stay present and not fall back on excuses. But, I've had some physical stuff that really has made me put things on hold (stomach bug, migraines). I don't want to use those as "excuses" yet at the same time, I'm trying to listen to my body and those are usually things that mean "slow down, take a break." How do you all stay active when feeling crappy??

  • Listening to your body is evolution. Slow down use the time and space to meditate. Visit YouTube or MindbodyGreen for guided meditations and yoga poses for migraines.

I always forget about meditation. When I'm not practicing regularly, I don't think about doing it when my body isn't up for much else. This is a great suggestion. I don't usually need the guided ones. Sitting in silence gets me where I need to be.

Colds and feeling run down is hard. Linda is right--some gentle yoga and time to rest is key. I usually eat poorly then-- so I try to make a chai or something that is savory and warm and soothing--like soup.
