So I thought I would share that I recently bought a dress for some Christmas parties. When I went to the store I grabbed all the sizes I usually wear and took them to try on, well that didn't work. I had to go down 2 sizes to fit I to a dress. I normally wear a 24 but was able to buy a 20 and it fit so well. I thought of this is just a fluke, then a friend gives me a skirt that is a size 20 as well and it fit perfectly. So yay!!!
On a more scale note I am in aww and shock that this woe works so well. I don't mean to sound flippant but over the past two weeks I've been eating a lot of things that are not low carb, but being able to keep it in moderation. I've "gained" weight but I can tell it's water weight and its only 4 lbs. I'm very happy about this. Not that I'm not eating well but the fact that I'm learning that even when I'm not perfect I can still keep some control. Also that my body seems a little more level.

Congratulations on your success! Thanks for sharing. I remember when I first started this WOE, there was a little shock and aw. I just kept thinking this can't be right. I'm eating so much fat, shouldn't I be gaining weight? It was perplexing that I wasn't hungry, and I was still eating the same amount of CICO when I used to be "staaarving". This has been much more doable and after 7 months of relative success, it has completely changed my relationship with food. Welcome to the club!0

Excellent progress. The foundation of successful weight loss, and after that, maintenance, is healing your relationship with food. Once you get that locked in, your path is so much more smooth and easier to sustain long term.
Congrats!

I'm sooooo happy that you've found a balance that's working for you!!! Many people think they need to drop the carbs to keto level, when 150gm, or less, can result in some amazing things! I remember the amazement (still am!!) with how "thin" I've felt from just a couple of weeks in (your size twenty is a testament to this too!)!! The inches will usually drop first (they did for me anyway). The experience of not having true hunger is an adjustment, but is a wonderful side effect of this woe! It only gets better, the longer you remain on your plan. Before you know it you will be trying on size 14s!! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing! Keep up the awesome work!0

Woohoo!!
And @slimzandra, that's been my experience, too. I didn't change my calories at all, just macros, and I started losing weight and had a lot less hunger and fewer cravings.0 -
I'm noticing that as well. When I have days I eat more things that are sugar or carb filled I seem to have the best come back but when I eat less of these things I can keep my hunger in check.0

Not being hungry is a weird feeling at first, but the longer you choose to avoid carbage, it becomes normal (for most!).Meanwhile, you're gaining control over food that you never dreamed was possible! I love seeing the transition! Since it happened for me, I know it can happen for others too!! You got this!! Rock on!0

Once your body knows where you want to be your weight and appetite and everything else can become very stable. Prior to Christmas I had four days in a row of precisely level weight at just within my target weight zone. Then Christmas dinner feasting on roast turkey and roast pork, alcohol, BBQ whole corn cob, roasted vegetables salad, dessert was a trilogy of choc ice cream cake, plus the most amazing choc pavlova with cherries, cream cheese, then more Christmas pudding doused in brandy and custard. I still dropped weight the next day! Unbelievable except this has happened before to me when I let go. The weight will stabilise then fall! Mind you I had no breakfast and reduced carbs. No snacking!! No late night raiding the fridge. No beer!0

This was using a one meal a day regime. You get to eat abundantly, only less often. I like to keep carbs lower but will still eat things like cheesecake which is lower in sugar than some desserts and higher in saturated fat.0

That is a good idea.0
