transitioning from bulk to cut - routine question

Hello Everyone…hope that everyone is looking forward to a merry christmas!

I have been bulking for about the past 18 weeks. Started at 176 pounds and as of yesterday I weighed in at 191 pounds. My goal was to get to about 190 and here I am. I was not too concerned about fat gains, my gain rate was just about a pound per week. My plan now is to do a slow cut to preserve as much muscle as possible and slowly lose the fat that I have accumulated :)

My question is in regards to routine. I have been running PHUL for the duration of my bulk and have really enjoyed the program. My concern is that once I transition to my cut that the volume is going to be too much. I was curious if anyone has a cutting routine that they follow? Second, I have considering modifying PHUL to a little less volume, but not sure if I should "bastardize" a structured program.

Currently I am bulking on 3300 calories a day (diary is open)
My plan was to cut on about 2600 to 2700 a day.

I like the upper/lower design of PHUL and I do not mind working out four times a week.

thanks for any input ..

You can always just try PHUL at the start of your cut and see how it goes.

If you start to have issues with recovery, keep intensity high and start reducing volume by bringing sets per exercise down.

That is kinda what I was thinking...I figured first few weeks I should be ok but as I get more glycogen depleted may have issues...

In your opinion what is best way to preserve as much mass as possible while cutting?

    Not getting too lean
Reasonable deficit size especially later in the diet
    Adequate protein
    Adequate training stimulus
