Does anyone have an particular recipes they make for the holidays? Today I made Ukrainian kolach (Christmas bread) for the first time. I used this recipe:

Although I didn't try for the knotted ring, I got a decent braided loaf.

Looks lovely! My favorite is pecan pie. I love it, but very calorific, so only at Christmas.

I've never made pecan pie but I've had it at restaurants. Basically sugar with nuts on top!

    Restaurant pecan pies are crap.

Hahaha....Jen, I just saw this post! How true!!!! I wouldn't waste my time with commercial pecan pie! Give me a good ol' Southern-girl recipe. Fortunately, no one here in the north has a clue, so I don't have to avoid temptation but I am dreaming of one now. Full of nuts right to the bottom! My FIL has pecan trees on his property and I may just have to stock up when we visit.
