Alcohol sensitivity- up and down

I've been on keto for several months - drinking a very small amount of alcohol.
This week I've been pretty lax with my carb input for the first time. At the start of the week I had a little more alcohol than normal and felt the effects very fast. BY the end of the week I was able to drink a large amount with no issues. It almost seemed the extra carbs were able to absorb it.

I think it has to do with the work the liver is doing while in ketosis...(I think) Not sure where I gathered that belief from or why... But I do know that many of us have expressed that we are much more sensitive to alcohol while low carb.0

I have become much ore sensitive to alcohol I don't know if it is the weight loss, or the liver function, other factors, or a combination of all of the above,0

Ditto here. I've also switched to drinking Vodka which hits me differently from beer (which would historically be my bev of choice). I'm having a hard time finding my "limit". I'm not sure how much is due to this WOE or if it's just b/c I'm eating less and that combined with hard liquor.0

These days, one drink and I have reached my limit, two if I am eating and I have several hours in which to socialize. Most times, all it takes is half a drink and I am satisfied, due to the low carbs I guess.0

I have had a glass (or two) of red wine pretty much daily since starting this woe -- pun intended -- but my tolerance for any more than that has gone way down. Went to a Christmas gathering last week and after my third glass, I was pretty zonked! Made it home in one piece on the train, thank His Noodly Appendage. I can't drink the way I used to, that is for sure.0
