I can sympathize with your pain. I had brownies and fudge and woke up Thursday morning with a sickness that was worse than any morning sickness I have ever had. My first though was why do I have morning sickness, I am not pregnant!! It has been enough to keep me away from all these baked goods people left here at work. My stomach starts to roll when I think about them.
My carbs of choice have always been sweets. I am a recovering cupcakeaholic. Never was a bread (unless it is a hot out of the oven buttery yeast roll), pasta or potato fan although I do like small amounts of sweet potatoes. I think that is why keto comes easy to me. I love meat especially a nice fatty cut steak (ribeye, I'm looking at you). I prefer broccoli or salad over potatoes. I am even a fan of brussel sprouts! If I can stay away from the sweets and hot buttery yeast rolls, I am home free! I have coworkers who would gladly give up their right arm before they would let go of a carb.0 -
Ugh, sorry! I felt similarly when I over-indulged one night last month. Blech! Amazing how much your taste and tolerance can change.0

Thanks Soosannahk and Macciatto ....I won't be doing that anytime soon I feel like craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap0

Hope you feel better tomorrow.
... In a way this is ALMOST a blessing. It will make future non- LCHF splurges that much less appealing.0 -
I too hope I feel better tomorrow ...I don't like this feeling and I am burping up greasy tater tots even though I only had 3 YUCK .....0

So sorry! Isn't it sad what these foods were doing to us everyday?! I always attributed it to other things, never considering carbs to be the main culprit. Is great to be in the nutritional position to recognize it, but is no fun! It does become motivation for next time though!0

Thanks and yes it does0 -
I do know your pain. I had a baked potato and cream corn last night ( used to be my comfort food) and my stomach feels yucky now. It doesn't help with being sick and not eating enough to meet goals.
Just forgive yourself and move on. We make mistakes, but when we learn from them it makes it easier the next time. Today is a new day to start fresh.0 -
Feeling better yet? I hope so.0

Yeah, I overindulged over the holiday. Wine, chocolate, carbs. The day after Christmas I felt awful with low energy. Then Sunday I had another Christmas with another part of the family, more wine and carbs. Today I have dark and puffy circles under my eyes. I'm like, "why do I look like I have been crying for days?" and then I realized must be the carbs. Scale is up 3 pounds. Time to flush it out and start again.0

These type of threads are awesome motivation!
Keep calm and keto on!0 -
Awesome motivation for sticking to the plan in the first place. lol!0

I also overindulged over the holiday. I feel terrible. My stomach hurts. My head hurts. My face is puffy, and I could barely crawl out of bed this weekend.
I just hope I can remember this next time those peanut butter cookies call my name.0 -
My three small servings (think tablespoon size) of the "sides" my mil fixed have left a lasting impression! TMI: this junk has completely "gummed up" my plumbing. It slowed everything way down. I will be glad to be back to my keto normal!0

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Sugar and carbs can't be good for me if it makes me feel like this, right? Broccoli and brussel sprouts don't make me feel this way, maybe a little gassy but that is to be expected lol. If I don't have a a big juicy ribeye steak for awhile it doesn't make me feel this way. But eat 2 brownies and a bit of fudge and I feel like I am dying!!
Hope everyone who "indulged" is feeling better.

I'm down a pound since yesterday, water weight, and I've been peeing like crazy this morning, so hopefully I will be back to normal in another day. Darn, I forgot to grab some bouillon to keep the blahs away. Hmm, well, I can get one of those ramen cups out of the vending machine and just drink the juice and throw away the noodles.0

Same here. I just feel yuck. Trying to get back on plan. Started an egg fast but crapped out last night. Today I am serious. I am tired of having stomach pains, bloated, tired and lazy! And of course the scale being up :-(
I think we have all learned a lesson !!0 -
I overindulged on Christmas even, got a case of food poisoning from some seafood, and it still compared favorably to the colonoscopy I had yesterday.0

I felt ugh also for several days. The brain fog is just starting to lift. The last of the cookies and fudge got tossed in the trash yesterday where it belongs! Steak for dinner, eggs for breakfast. Nice to be back to normal!0
