Yes I am anxious to start the New Year and the new month.
Promise yourself .... to stress less and smile more. To have strength and courage to venture outside of your comfort zone. To leave your post behind you and appreciate this moment. Most importantly, promise yourself to always live a life you will truly want to live.
This may have to be my motto for the year. Retirement will come sometime this year. I have 38 years and a few months.....it will definitely be a change of habits.
And in the meantime I will continue to work toward my goals.
120 miles - 10 over 10,000 steps.
Happy New Year everyone

Happy New Year! Excellent motto, Lilymay! And congrats on the upcoming retirement!!
My goal for this year is going to be to better my mileage each month from 2015. Of course, I'll set other goals for the month as well, but I want to improve what I've already done. April and May will be the biggest challenge (the 120+ months!).
For January - last year, I only hit 62.72. That should be an easy # to beat, so I'm going to aim for 115 And hit 8 days at 5+. That will be a 3 mile and a 1 day at 5 improvement over last month.
We were incredibly lazy over the weekend. Started our year straightening the house and binge watching TV. Got the BF started on The Walking Dead and made it through 3 seasons.

I'm having trouble adjusting back to getting up earlier to spend time with the pup. Fortunately, he's been ok about taking a nap with me after work. My steps are suffering, though. I actually haven't had my bluetooth on for 2 days, so I'm just checking the mileage for the last couple of days. We haven't gone to the gym, either, opting to stay home with the little guy! I can't wait until he's big enough to go to the greenway!!

mlh - do what you can when you can. Maybe your puppy can go to puppy day care and play with other puppies while you go to the gym. I know that is what my cousin did and still does in Edmonton.0

We are planning to get to the gym this week. The pup is adjusting and has even been using his crate, instead of staying in the kitchen and doing well. I would love to get him into a daycare to socialize, but right now, he's recovering from a respiratory infection. He goes back to the vet today, but from everything that I've read, he shouldn't be around other pups for a month or more.
He is walking more outside, wanting to explore further. Small steps.
