Apple Watch v Fitbit

Just went for a 40 minute walk and wore both Apple Watch and my Fitbit One. The steps on the watch were 175 fewer than the Fitbit. Any thoughts or experience with this?

    Should test them both.

    Get to a starting point and note the numbers on both.
    Walk and count each right foot landing for say 100 steps - double for total steps.
    Which device agrees closer?
