"All progress takes place outside the comfort zone" - Michael John Bobak

I have decided not to go to the gym with a friend. It will cause too much stress trying to get everything into my day and week. I will do "drop in" with her on Fridays (my day off). I know that doesn't take me out of my comfort zone too far.... I do have several DVD's that I can do at home and don't require me to travel into town.

So on that note - we are now into the 2nd week and moving along, do what you can do when you can and we will be healthier together!

    Friday's Miles: 4.89

Very sorry I have been MIA...just lazy and so not much of an excuse. :( Will use a ticker to keep track of cumulative miles...but will state my miles of the day before.

Great job keeping this going...many thanks!

Have a Happy Healthy New Year, gang! <3

magic - no I use a pedometer. A friend of mine has a both and the fitbit has way more steps on it than the pedometer. She says the Fitbit counts the times her arms swing.

I have my fitbit on my ankle cuz I am usually peddling or walking the dog...so no swinging of the arm. But it should count when the left arm swings or non dominant arm swings, if you are walking.

That is good to know - I will tell my friend.

Not to butt into the conversation, but the fitbit can also be set so that it isn't as sensitive - by setting to dominant arm (then b/c it assumes its the arm that's used more, it doesn't register as slight of movements as it does when set to non-dominant arm). Does that make sense? It's early and I'm having a hard time getting started. LOL

    Sunday's Miles 4.87

Morning all...have to get on the bike fast...but when I did use in on my wrist, I watched the steps on my ipone as I walked and it was accurate.

Now, when I peddle it only gives me a step have each complete rotation...every time, my right foot complete around, I get credit, which I think is fair.

On my wrist it gave me a step for left, right, left, right...each step taken. I think it is pretty accurate.

3.03 miles Thursday. Those are just my miles from the day without the market, but with a regular walk with LME. Today should be better since I am heading to the bike.

Oh girls...so happy it is Friday...having coffee right now...will try and get a bit pedal time in. Have a great day...let's make it a good weekend food and exercise wise.

    I am on south beach diet...phase one...day 6. There are 14 days of p1.
