Anyone else dealing with Thyroid Cancer?

I'm just wondering if anyone else on the board has had thyroid cancer? I was diagnosed, surgery, and RAI last year. My TSH levels are leveled out to the level my Endo wants and now I want/need to lose the weight that being Hypo for years has put on. I also want to get away from my 'look to food when sad/upset' issue.
I dropped my daily milks and now I need to add calcium pills as I'm starting to have the low-calcium issues due to damage to my parathyroid glands. I'm wondering if another person with experience with thyroid cancer can give me any more tips to look out for (I should have realized I would need to supplement calcium when I stopped drinking my milk and eating yogurt).

I don't have Thyroid Cancer, but we have several here in this group with Hastimoto's and other auto-immune thyroid issues, and I think someone else just had theirs own. Myself, I'm hypothyroid... That being said, here's a fabulous article series on the parathyroid issues. http://gwens-nest.com/what-i-didnt-know/

It led me to this information: http://www.health-science-spirit.com/borax.htm

There is far more calcium in leafy greens and nut "milks" than there ever was in dairy, so make sure you look into that. Also, to best absorb calcium, you need D3, which needs K2, which needs potassium, magnesium, and boron. I likened this to D3 is the buddy to calcium to help absorb, K2 is the bus driver to get it to the right place, potassium and magnesium are the passport to get it through, and boron is to make sure the place it passes through holds up so it can't get back out and gets absorbed/used properly.

We're deficient in so many of these things now because our soils are depleted. Some supplements have all of these...

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I'm still playing catch up...

I'm sure others will jump in again soon...
