I think I finally slept well last night. I woke up way before my alarm but I feel rested. My weight was down this morning too. I am soooo glad it's Friday!
@2020pinktogo - I totally understand what you mean. My weight loss has gotten the idea of a boob job in my head because they aren't staying where they are supposed to be. Depending on how my skin looks after all is said and done, I will probably have that and a tummy tuck done. I am noticing more wrinkles as well...on my neck specifically.0 -
Don't feel so good today. But I did at least sleep last night. That should help.0

If you're feeling good, yay! If you're not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon.
I did well in both food & exercise today. It's been a while since I did well in both on the same day. I will try to do it again tomorrow.0 -
Had a rough day on Friday, but on the whole it has been a good week. I have lots of bruises (seal bites, bjj and fencing) and many aching muscles. I trained lots and pushed hard, and thanks to my new pump, was able to breathe. I ate well mostly, which is my aim and kept the carbs low. Need to work on sugar for the next week... Looking forward to a great week next week, YAY leave!!!0

I'm happy it's the weekend. Had a tough week staying on track with my calorie intake. Two birthday parties, out to restaurants, take out more than once and too many left overs for lunch. Ugh! My diet week starts on Saturday so I'm glad to have a fresh start today. I work in a traditional office so Sat & Sun are my favorite days of the week. I need to add some exercise to my daily routine, maybe a little something in the evening. Have a great day all!0

So far, it looks like it will be another good day for me. I still think it's weather-related with me. It's a nice day out for a good walk. When I read CaptainBoing's entries I start thinking I should be much more active. Then I think if I push myself too much I will definitely give up because it's not who I am. Who knows, maybe this time next year I'll be a different person and think differently about being more active. I'm still heavy and fear getting physically hurt. As I continue my journey I should start feeling light enough to take more risks.0

HaHa!! I agree, don't overdo it. When I started last year, it was tough for me to survive 2 fitness classes a week and then fencing season started again and it was 2 fitness and 2 fencing sessions and I was exhausted. As the year progressed and my fitness improved I added more gradually. I have been accused of being obsessed and train more than most people at my gym, but I really enjoy what I do and I see areas that I need to improve in so I want to do more and I have the flexibility to do that because I have no spouse or children, plus a degree of flexibility at work (although most of my training happens early morning and evening these days.0

Exactly! You really enjoy what you are doing. When I find something that I enjoy as much then I'm sure that I will become obsessed with it too.0 -
Ok an update on the whack a doodle she went out on 1/2 and her Dr's note says she can come back 2/1. I don't think her Dr knows what 2 weeks is do you?
Have a great day everyone I'm off to work!!!0 -
@2020pinktogo The upside of your coworker having a month off is not having to deal with the drama. A coworker of mine had a gall bladder attack on the same exact day I did. I was in the hospital for five days with two weeks off, she was off 6 weeks. Some people know how to work the system . . . and in the long run we really want everyone to feel good no matter how annoying we think they are, right?0
-
Well honestly I want her to move closer to her mother and leave the area. LOL We would give her a great recommendation. I know too honest. LOL0

@2020pinktogo You are hilarious!

We have a staff member who fell on 2 Jan. He came back to work on Thursday 14 Jan but on light duty, which apparently means no standing or walking at all. He is supposedly waiting for the cartlidge in his knee to heal. When I injured my knee (cartlidge damage) I had surgery as cartlidge does not heal. Until surgery I could do whatever didn't hurt, after surgery I got 7 days off (including weekend) and when I was back at work I could do anything but pick up heavy things. So I did his job as well as mine the entire week (and got bitten by a seal because of that).0

@CaptainBoing LOL I remember you telling us about the seal.0

Some people can't tolerate pain as well as others and some people are just manipulative and/or lazy. You never know. Take care of yourself though. I had a friend who fell and hurt her knee. She just kept going, tolerating the pain. Now, 10+ years later, she is still dealing with that bad knee.0

He is definitely of the lazy variety, we have seen this on various occasions.
My knee recovered well from surgery (I was very good and listened to my physio, gradually increasing exercise). I can do everything totally pain free except fencing now and if it wasn't for my bjj comps coming up I would be phasing back into fencing already. In March, once the comps are over, I will go back to fencing and probably get a routine from a biokenetesist to help me transition back while strengthening my knee. Then I can take it slow and rest it if needed, which would not really be feasible in my comp prep period.0
