I belong to some of those hotel clubs, like IHG (Holiday Inn group). I travel a lot for business, and also just to have a change from small town life, so I accrue points and get to stay for free often.
This weekend I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. They serve breakfast, and it's just plain awful! I seem to have a food sensitivity with nearly everything they serve. But fortunately, they have a microwave and fridge in the room. I went to a local supermarket and picked up a few things: frozen organic broccoli florets, good cheddar cheese, Irish butter, organic chicken breakfast sausage. I also got an Atkins breakfast scramble. I chopped up a few of the sausage, and mixed it with the broccoli, added a little butter and cooked it till hot. Topped it with cheese and waved it till the cheese melted. I mixed them all together in a plate. It was a big portion of food! Kept me satiated really well for five hours.
I probably overate a bit on the protein. But I cut back at lunch and had big salads with a smaller portion of protein.
