Ok, so the way I understand the workouts in the book, there are 60 second rests between EACH SET. So if exercise A is:

Squats
2 sets 15 rest 60 sec
2 sets 12 rest 60 sec
3 sets 10 rest 60 sec
3 sets 8 rest 60 sec

Then I would do:
15 squats - rest 60 sec
15 squats - rest 60 sec

12 squats - rest 60sec
12 squats - rest 60 sec

....and so on and so forth....correct?

I am asking this because these workouts are taking me 1 hour to 1.5 hours and I just need to make sure I need to rest between EVERY SET vs. resting between every set done at the same weight.

Maybe I'm just slow because I am so new...lol.

Thanks so much!!

    Wait.
    Hold on.
From what I understand, and how I've been doing it, those are each for different weeks.

So for workout 1 and 3 (because you are alternating between workouts A and B)
    15 squats - rest
    15 squats - rest

    15 push ups - rest
    15 rows - rest
    15 push ups - rest
    15 rows - rest

    15 step up - rest
    8 jackknife - rest
    15 step up - rest
    8 jackknife - rest

Then any one of those until failure as the end of your workout.
You can rest for however long you want-- but it usually only takes me 40 minutes.
But yes. You should be lifting heavy enough that you NEED that break. If you can pump out 15 reps and be ready to move on, you need to add more weight.

    OH. MY.

Wow, then THAT's WHY I've been taking FOREVER. How the heck I didn't catch that is beyond me. I guess that is what I get for trying to get through the book super late at night after a long day - lol!!!

That makes a ton more sense. I need to take another look at the book - I feel like a freakin idiot.

    Thanks for the response!!!!
