Sherry - Your life is definitely complicated! But I'm glad you're going to be able to get somewhat of a routine going again! I think too often we in America forget how easy and convenient everything is for us. Makes everyone super whiney about the littlest things. I'm trying to be more grateful in life. For things like Costco
Marla - I hope you have a fantastic trip!
Hubby gave me the entire day off yesterday. Drove the race route for this weekend....its soooooo long! Then went to visit a friend. Had a PTO meeting that night and then the whole family went out to dinner at a yummy Chinese place! Today I'm headed to the grocery store and friends are coming over tonight. That sums up the entirety of my day.
Oldest child turns 8 today! Ahhhhhhhh!
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Another errand day today. The farmers market was here today, but I decided I didn't have space for bulk fruits and veggies and just went to the regular veg stand and got what I needed. Cooked. Laundry. Dishes twice. General cleaning kitchen. Sorting some of lil girls stuff (her room is too small for all her stuff) Did all the afternoon pick ups and drop offs. Somehow ended up late getting home and getting dinner ready. Good thing it's Friday. Looks like a normal day like today will be giving me about 14,000 steps. Oh yeah! I also found a website that gives %grade of any street. My street is 26%!!! Lol!!! Imagine no matter where you go, you have to return to that, carrying your groceries, etc! No wonder I'm always sweating when I get home.
Legs still bother me with all the added walking now that kids are back in school. I will continue the ibuprofen ten more days and then that's it. I've been using heel risers too, to help the muscles heal. I really hope it turns around soon.
Val, I hope you didn't psych yourself out by driving it. Even driving, a marathon distance is very long, but you can do it! Happy birthday to your kiddo!0 -
Hi everyone. I'm feeling meh. Got a head cold -- it's not enough to stop me from doing anything, just keeping me from feeling good while I do it.
I'm feeling pretty peopled-out right now. I have two parties tomorrow and then Sunday I'm giving myself permission not to leave the house or talk to anybody if I don't want to. First party tomorrow is a baby shower for a co-worker and it's at our office, so it's nice that it's somewhere I'll be comfortable (I get social anxiety from having to go to strange places) but it's a drag that I have to drive so far. Then in the evening is a family birthday party for my niece (who just turned 25) and my dad (who just turned 80).
Sherry I'm trying to picture a 26% grade and can't even. That's steep! What's the website?
Good luck with your marathon Val! I'm always amazed how far things seem when I drive. There's a building that's my turnaround for a 10K run and I think nothing of running there and back, but one day I had to drive there and it felt like it was so far away!0 -
Yeah, I wonder if it's correct. But our street really is very steep. It can be very hard to walk down from the top and it ends with stairs.
Here I paste the site.

Well that definitely should keep you in shape Sherry.
I made it to Reno, long day, icey roads had to drive slow. Not looking forward to going back.

Lots of walking tomorrow.0
