Hi Mary here. I am working on a meal plan for a week at the moment. Dam!!! it's harder than I thought! Just comparing what's in the fridge and cupboard to a program ( refuse to call it diet)
is really quite hard. Just as well it's summer and there's plenty in the garden.
And so any ideas would be gratefully received.
While I am here and thus having been inspired.... I am off to the pool. catch you later, stay out of the sun

Dam it's hot....Still working on the meal plan, printing it out so I can have copycat days. Quite hard changing over when you are so use to weight watchers.Seems we can eat more because the veges are not counted. Off to check out what the Maggi white sauce mix is worth in kj,don't want things to get boring. Have a great day

Good morning to u all. It's going to be a lovely day, at least a little bit cooler.Still a whole lot better than being over seas and a freezing our butts off. Humans huh! we never seem to be happy with what we have. Have planned my day.Going to the gym in about 30minutes, from there to countdown got a list and sticking to it.No goodies going in the trolley today. Hubby and the boys took the fishing torpedo, submarine thingy out, and got some nice snapper WooHoo! nice healthy dinner.Better get going.... Wrote it all down now I have to do it. Have a great day and do your best.
I do believe it's raining again.0 -

Hiya
How can I increase my potassium without resorting to vitamin pills? I seem to be low in sodium potassium and iron. Funny I never thought about these things before but this app makes it easy to track..and panic about.0 -
for Iron u need beef or pork liver (yuk) soybeans, pipi's, mussles, oysters, spinich, lentils. ginger. .....For potussium u need potato, tomato.kidney beans,(these are baked beans,) dried fruits, banana, avocado, salmon, tuna flouder, milk, dark green veges. Not recomending the dried fruits because u will eat too many and before u know it u have eaten 2kg's worth, they have a lot of sugar. Best to stick to fresh. Eat in season much cheaper. Hope this help. Be as good as u can be0

Thanks very much. Very helpful. I think I'll up my intake of dark green veges. I never thought of that. Spinach silver beet and kale. I actually don't eat any dark green veges. The rest I do ok in but obviously not enough.0

Miz-ppyn The 5:2 is a eating plan where you cut yr kj's down to 1/4 of yr daily kj's that you are allowed, for 2 days of the week and eat normal for the other days. I have picked Monday and Thursday, Have a look at my food for today, in saying that I will admit I got hungry and had 2 pieces of bread with lunch. But not to bad for my first day.
How are you ladies doing??0 -
Still here........ brownie point for my stickabillit0

Good morning Maryleuelu. How is your 5:2 plan going? I'm not doing too good. Just come back from a work trip. 3 days away with catered food. I put on 3.8 kilos...how is that possible? I was being as careful as I could. Hope it comes off that quick.0
-
Oh yeah, 3 days, catered food, 3.8kgs....... sounds so like me. I could do that easyyyy. No problem lol. But it doesn't go as fast. You will take that off in 2 weeks. The thing to ask is, did you have fun???? And you have to say yes, other wise the weight is not worth it lol.
As far my 5:2 plan go's, it went good today, until hubby slapped some pizza on the table . and the plan went out the window. Oh well another day 2morrow. They say God loves a trier, and I sure can be trying lol.
Packing lunch for tomorrow. Have a good one.1 -
Hi Maryleuelu
Yeah I had fun. Should have remembered the work I have to do to pay for that fun though☺
Had an extended period of about a week with takeaways and nibbles due to work functions. Too scared to get on the scales and still haven't lost the bit I put on before. Also now it's dark in the mornings I am exercising less. Treadmill here I come. Yep tomorrow another day. After all its a lifestyle change not a quick fix
Have a good easter.0 -
Ha I'm not exercising at all. Just thinking about the treadmill makes you better than me lol.Your right, It's a lifestlye change, and I refuse to kick myself everytime I mess up( the way I'm going I'd have a very sore butt) I still seem to be going down..very slowly... Had 1 or 2 days when I cut down the carbs, heck at this stage I will try anything lol.
Go on be a debil and jump on the scales. At least you will have the numbers in mind over this long weekend. And it may not be as bad as you think.
Have a good one and be as good as you can0 -

Like they say when life serves you lemons make lemonade. Will tr to keep in touch better. Have a good weekend0
