I'm so frustrated. Another bl&$#%y plateau.

Had one in November and took nearly the month to shift it. Now after a very small loss I'm back to the same as 2 weeks ago. And I've been so good with my woe. My carbs really low, but also very low calories. I have not been hungry so only had 2 normal meals a day at say 350 calories. Will make some more fat bombs to calorie boost just in case that's the prob.

The scales is not just a liar but also a thief!!! Will need to up my exercise. I'm 18lb less now compared to the last plateau and total of 30lb gone so no reason to not step up and start sweating in this hot summer weather.

Well, if it's any consolation, congrats on being down 70 lbs!

Here's a quick thought too, assuming you are using a digital scale. My digitals batteries wore out after awhile, and then it was totally lying to me by a LOT! 20+ lbs. I didn't even notice (just thought my God I gained more weight) until I went to the dr and as always, they weigh you, and I saw I didn't weigh what I thought I did. New scale batteries fixed that.

Scale batteries - who would have thunk it.

It may or may not be the case, but it was one thing I never thought to replace. Being in the wet environment of my bathroom can cause corrosion so it can't hurt to make sure they aren't getting "green" too.

I completely understand your frustration! You're reading my story!! I'm not sad that I've managed to hang in there, through every one, so far! Keep doing what you know to be right and the scale will catch up!

Wait a minute! Didn't I just see you posted on another thread about going off plan on Friday?
You can't be on and off plan and have expectations that nothing will be affected.
Going off plan every now and then isn't unheard of, but you'll need to realign your expectations as well.

I totally agree. I did post that for someone who wanted new friends to see their diaries. It was to let them know that the Friday was not a normal day at all compared to the last 6 months for me. On Friday I had a high carb day for my birthday where the family did a surprise party at a tapas restaurant. All I could find to log was a generic tapas food item which I think had over the top carbs but I didn't eat the buns for the sliders, didn't touch the sauces, had 1 vodca (no carbs) and soda. High carb for me to put me out of Ketosis can only be 40g but I don't really know how much I had, and of course had no notice to plan ahead. I got straight back onto plan the next morning. However since beginning of Dec I was keeping all my nutrients in line and feel I worked so hard, especially on Christmas Day. This plateau is now for well over 2 weeks, not just from a blow out 2 days ago.

Ah yeah, understandable about the one off-plan day. Sounds like you handled it as well as you could and I hope you were able to enjoy the surprise; how sweet of them! :)
Don't some of the launch pads say not to think of it as a "plateau" unless it's over 4 weeks? (My first stall was just under 4 weeks and I was getting sooo antsy.)
Could your calories be too low and your metabolism need re-setting? I know I've heard that phenomenon mentioned on here by KnitorMiss and a few others; not too familiar with it myself.

    What's your average weekly deficit?

I really suspect any slow down may be from some higher carb foods that are appearing in the diary. I really do not mean to come across negatively when I say this.
You hit a plateau in November but have lost 18 lbs since then. In November you have regular entries of high carb foods. Not every day, but a couple times a week. (Again, not a judgement, just a possible explanation). Then the same happens in December off an on all month. Some high carb days have happened right after New Years and again last Friday. It's only the 17th of January right now. So, basically, you still lost 18 lbs while having regular higher carb days. That's really pretty darn good!
I really hesitated to reply because I know this could come off differently than I intend it to.
What I hope you see is that you've actually had a very successful couple months with that 18lb loss. It's been 2.5 months... 10 weeks basically. You've lost 1.8 pounds a week. That's awesome! If 2 weeks have gone by with absolutely no loss, then that average would be even higher over only an 8 week period especially considering the addition of the off plan foods.
2 weeks definitely doesn't suggest a plateau. And you'd have to be totally on plan for much longer with no loss to really be able to consider it one. But they certainly do happen.
I finally achieved a 0.2 lb loss and it took me since October to finally get there. I haven't had even one food or day that was off plan. I know LC is the way to go for me and as infuriating as it was, I just stuck it out. I knew it couldn't last forever.
The stalls will happen. They happen to everyone eventually. When it does, it's likely to last for quite a while. It's just part of the process. There's just something else your body needs to work on besides using the extra fat. It will balance itself eventually and get back to it at some point. The best thing to do is stick to the course and give it the best fuel you know it needs so that it can be the best it can be and not get derailed dealing with inflammatory foods or fat storing insulin spikes.
Keep calm and Keto on!
