@baconslave, I love how you articulated that.

What you lack in ability to moderate food intake you more than make up for in analogous literary prowess!

    LOL So true!

I'm another black and white eater. I have control until I suddenly don't so i too avoid certain trigger foods. If I don't taste it i am fine but if I have a bit? Boom! Diet is blown to all... Um, heck.

My mom proudly told me she made me a gluten free carrot cake for my birthday. This was on a phone call when I had called her to tell her that I would bring something for dessert. Oh man, this will be a test. A small piece of carrot cake with the icing scraped off. Stay strong. Stay strong and make your mom feel good....

I've never had the peanut butter cups. Good?

In what universe is combining chocolate and peanut butter ever not good? :)

True... but it IS quest bars. Some of them taste like feet!

@lithezebra care to share the illicit cheesecake recipe?

Me, I have an annoying ability to eat a piece of chocolate or 1/4 of a snickers bar. Drives my husband nuts!!. Cheesecake should be safe.

Cashews on the other hand, look out. Apparently you are on Sam's most wanted list! Only thing stopping me is knowing the digestive knock on effects of eating too many are ugly.

I'm not a big fan of any of the other Quest bars, I'll eat them out of necessity when I'm travelling and in meetings all day with no low carb food options provided, but the peanut butter cups are to die for if you haven't eaten real chocolate or sugar in a long time. If you just started a LCHF diet, they may not taste so good, I went from hating them to loving them after I forgot what real sugar and real PB tasted like. Loving them too much lol. I think I'm going to be breaking up this love affair, it's getting a little too intense.

I know myself with these foods too! I have seen my recent reaction to some nuts, and dark chocolate that I don't want to repeat for a very long time! So, at this point I will choose to not have them in my life! There is no moderation for me! I'm happy with it that way though, and feel no deprivation from any of it! If you really need these foods in your life it's your choice. I don't need them in mine!

That's entirely possible. I only have tried a few of them. Once i found choc chip cookie dough(or sex in bar form) I stopped experimenting and could eat those and only those for the rest of my life if needed lol
