Camelina oil

does anyone else love camelina?? I like that it is a lighter flavoured oil than olive and that I can put it in my smoothie and I don't get weird little floaty chunks like with coconut oil. It has lots of omega 3 as well. I buy a brand that is organic, grown and processed within 100km of me, but his brand has similar info.

Interesting. Given its high level of Omega-3 and PUFAs in general, I wouldn't use it for hot uses like it recommends, since those break down even at room temperature. However, it might be a good candidate for various cold uses and could be a viable oil for small batches of mayo.

One thing to note -- it is a cruciferous plant (of the brassica family, same as cabbage and broccoli). Those that are sensitive to cruciferous plants might want to be aware of that if they're thinking of trying it.
