There are so many challenges in life, how to take care of ourselves when life throws us curveballs is one of the biggest ones. A co-worker yesterday said " Just Breathe". There are many relaxation methods out there... Access Bars, Tapping, Yoga.... Walking works good for me.

mlh - Yes our weather man on Canada AM is showing us the US is bracing for a Historic storm. Take care and stay safe.
Today we are at -8 C tremendously warmer than the -36 C last weekend!! I have my Annual Checkup this morning and get my house ready for the grandkids to stay the weekend.0 -
Haha...we definitely have gotten more snow today than I've seen in the entire time I've lived in TN...been here since 2002. We have about 6 inches. From our news, traffic on interstates that are still open are at a standstill. I'm not afraid to drive in it, but am fearful of people acting crazy, having no experience with it!!! I do plan on going home at the end of my workday!! I am not spending any more of my weekend at work!0

I would have thought walking a colicky grandbaby would have got me a few more steps but I guess doing the baby sway doesn't count steps... Oh well.... I did get to outside - bundled them up and went out with the toboggan and feed the birds and went for a short walk. could only get as far as the snow plow had gone so wasn't very far... the 2 1/2 year old wanted to walk a little bit which was good because he slept for an hour in the tractor plowing snow with grandpa, Lots of fun outside tried to teach him how to make snow angels!!!0 -
We ended up with 8 inches of snow officially. The new pup loved it!!! (He's a husky mix, so of course he did!!) We played in it on Friday and Saturday. Yesterday it was super cold in the morning and then a little warmer in the afternoon. It starting to melt and mud was coming out underneath, so we didn't play as much. Our roads were still a mess this morning. It's supposed to get to about 50 today, so hopefully it will all melt and dry out the roads so we don't have any more ice.
Goal: 115 miles and 8 days at 5+ (Currently at 61.01 and 2/8)

We were in the 50s yesterday and projected to be there again today. I think our weather is drunk!! The weekend weather is predicted to be sunny and near 60! I think I may try taking the new pup out on the greenway.0 -

mlh I agree the weather is drunk!! Night before last it rained for 2 hours here!!! So much for walking outside unless you have spikes. It is only Zero and -1 Celsius. Highways were scary too!!

Lilymay...it's back to 20F here today. LOL...still supposed to be close to 60 this weekend though.
4 more days! I'm going to try to hit 100 miles!! A few less than my original goal, but better than Jan of last year! Already beat that!!! Really hope it's pretty enough this weekend to really get some outside miles...and some sunshine!!!0 -
Went to the gym last night, but didn't get a whole lot done. I've been really achy and tired for the last couple of days. Not sure what's going on. Hoping it's just a lack of sleep and I'll be able to rest this weekend.Trying to work through it and keep moving, but yesterday's number is really lacking for trying to make 5/hit my 100 for the month.
28 - 3.75 = 86.73, 4/8. Not going to make the 8 days at 5, but the 100 miles is still doable (13.27 to go)!!

Jan 30 - 3.8 miles - finally ..a good day, went out for a walk, filled bird feeders, dog feeder, cat dish and generally walked... felt good.
Made 100 miles.... still have tomorrow and need to rethink February..it is a couple days shorter.0 -

The pup loved the greenway, but we need to work on leash manners before spending too much time out there. He wanted to jump at and meet everyone, and it made me extremely tense: 1) holding the leash, and 2) worried he was going to dart in front of a bike!! We went Saturday. Life got in the way Sunday, but we spent a while outside at our house.0 -
