Found a motivation beyond the scale......

I am terrible with a scale. When I weigh myself, if I have gone up a little bit after diligently following my plan, I let it derail my progress. I get discouraged easily. So, lately I have been considering other ways to track my progress outside of my weight alone. I decided to start measuring myself more regularly (like monthly). But, last weekend I had something that really opened my eyes. Opened my eyes WIDE.
My high school built a new school and they are tearing down the school I went to. Last weekend they had an auction to sell off all the remaining furniture, supplies, etc. My mom, sister and I went just to walk through the school one last time and reminisce a little bit and then it happened. I came across a tub of old cheerleading uniforms. And I found mine. So, I bought it and it came home with me. Seeing that uniform reminded me of where I used to be when I was in shape. Of course I have photos of me in it, but holding it up to my current body and seeing the actual size was eye opening. I have been out of high school nearly 14 years, but that body I had then is still attainable. So, that is my new motivation.
I am going to get in that uniform again. It may take me a while because I have a long way to go, but I am going to do it. Regardless of where I end up and what the number on the scale is when I get there, if I can get back into that uniform I will then know that I did it.
And just for fun, here is a photo of me back in the day wearing the uniform. (And yes, I am heating up 2 biscuits with chocolate milk for breakfast........smh)

Thanks everyone! I took a picture last weekend with the uniform held up to my body (just not quite ready to share it yet) and I plan on taking progress pics throughout. It will be a great way to see things transforming over time.0
