Sugar-adapted vs Fat-adapted

I was so glad not to hear the following:
"My head is cloudy." "I get dizzy." "My heart is palpitating." "I'm irritable." "I'm tired." and on and on.
Of course, shifting to a low cal, no sugar, clean diet...those things will happen.
So you all have been down this road before!
Let's inspect, quickly:
1) Assumption: You ate too much *kitten* carbs over the holidays, and you put on a layer of fat.
2) During that time, in your body, you had CONSTANT access to easy glycogen in your blood. In fact so much so, that you didn't use it all and stored most as FAT.
3) So every morning your body woke up and expected that easy "Sugar" source (to power your brain, daily movement, exercise, etc). It was always there.
4) And things were dandy!
5) NOW, all the sudden your body wakes up and there is no excess glycogen. It searches around...but alas...none to be found. By this time you feel like you were hit by a truck.
6) Your body is covered by fat, but your body does not instantly go to that fuel source, because it has been Sugar Adapted.
7) It's a few days until your body levels out and realizes..."Oh, I'm only getting 1000cals of protein, fat, and veggie carb...OK, I'll use all this delightful fat to fuel me during the day."
8) Once you become Fat-Adapted you should be able to do a 16, 20, or 24 hour Fast pretty easy.
Our bodies were designed for Fat Utilization. In the past, quick easy sugar carbs were rare, extremely rare!
Also, consider the lean endurance athletes who use fat to power them through ultras! (Carb loading is a weekend warrior concept that is only necessary for people who are Sugar Adapted...get it?)
Bottom Line:
Lose the sugar: you'll feel like crap for a while
But that forces the body to utilize your fat stores
In the end, you will feel better (less fat, and mentally)
AND you will perform better...that quick sugar energy gets you nothing. Fuel yourself on FAT and be a dragonslayer!
