Some people just don't get low carb diets, I'm staying under 1000 calories and eating under 30gs of carbs a day, yes I'm sure thick cream is a good diet food if your on a low carb diet!! Wish people would stop having a go at me for eating fatty foods, I'm still under my daily allowance of fat too. Little rant

Mmm, delicious diet (WOE!) food ... :) They're just jealous.
Can I ask why you're staying under 1000 calories? Is that your general goal or for fast days? (I've had a few pseudo-fast days like that, but other days I go over and it balances out to around 1350/day.)

It was just a personal target, I'm still experimenting but with the carbs been under 20gs I find it difficult to get much over 1000 calories anyway :) and if I set my targets low if I go over I'm still way under the rda

You just want to be careful with consistently under eating. I don't know how large a deficit that is for you, if it's too big you can end up malnourished and have health problem, or rebound and become ravenous and binge. If it's a daily thing try adding in something more calorically dense. Look up fat bombs, they are helpful in the beginning while you are adapting.

Love my heavy whipping cream!! It's my easy go-to fat of choice. Yum!

Thank you I'll look them up :)

I get nervous (like a smoker gets when almost out of cigarettes!) When the hwc supply gets low! People will always have opinions! Ignorance will always shine through some people! Hang in there!!

I'm on about 1700 cals and get all my fat in with under 20g a day carbs. I use a lot of cheese, garlic butter and cream, love this way of eating!

There's a grocery store here that carries half gallon cartons of heavy cream, though recently I've been addicted to the pints from the Straus dairy, where the cows graze on grass as much as possible.

I like to make cream into crustless quiche.

The half gallon cartons are the only way I can get Snowville cream, which is a local, grass-fed dairy, and it's the only unadulterated cream I can find. I used to worry about being able to use it all (it's not homogenized, so freezing it makes it separate), but my husband started drinking a fair bit of coffee and we're both heavy-handed with the cream (it's our breakfast, basically), so I'm no longer worried about that. Now, when I have the money, I buy it two cartons at a time! (It's about $11 a carton, which is actually cheaper per ounce than the other brands, even the store brands.)

I was so happy when I found Snowville! It's the best I've ever found too.
