NROLFW vs 5x5

Hey all,
I have the book of new rules and in the past I've seen pretty good results from this routine. Any thoughts as to which program would be 'better' or does it really matter?
I've lifted for a little while but have been off for about 6 months. How do you recommend finding a good starting weight?
Thanks!

I can only reply from what other ladies that did the NROLFW stated. It helps to build strength but gets to be very time consuming. You also need gym time and I love working at home. Stronglifts is great for at home.0

I much prefer Starting Strength to NROLFW. I'm using the 5x5 program and using Starting Strength to learn and improve my form.0

I checked NROLFW out of the library, but it seemed so complicated compared to Starting Strength (basically Strong Lifts but 3x5 rather than 5x5) that I went with that instead. I don't think it matters as long as you're doing a progressive routine.0
