Moodiness?

Day 4 of solid ketosis. Metallic taste in the mouth. Test strips are dark pink. Burn, baby, burn.
On the flip side, I feel like I have the worst case of PMS, out of nowhere. It's not "that time." Any tips other than waiting it out?

Metallic taste is a good thing, your making ketones.
I hope this helps,

^^^^ THIS!! You need to up your daily sodium intake to somewhere in the 3000 - 5000 mg range. I personally require at least 5000 mg per day. Try dissolving and drinking a bouillon cube 1-2 times per day and add salt to everything that you eat if you can.

Definitely it is your electrolytes. Add in some magnesium as well.
Generally, once keto-adapted, I found that my moods were generally much more stable and positive. Who would have thought that carbs were responsible for mental imbalance?!0 -
Thank you!!0

Forgot to add that I looked at my diary and yeah, some days, I was under 1000mg of sodium. Understanding the relationship between sodium and insulin makes absolute sense. I upped the salt and whether or not it's placebo, I feel worlds better. Thank you. All of you.0
