I am so super stoked.. Finally I am starting to lose weight. I have been eating all protein which I think has definitely jump start my metabolism. I did have a tiny cheat yesterday when we went to the movies. My son and boyfriend bought a huge tub of popcorn. Instead of completely restricting myself I did have a small handful of popcorn. My boyfriend did buy me a small bag of reeses pieces which are my absolute favorite but by the time he returned I was already feeling guilty for eating the popcorn. So needless to say I did not eat the candy. Yay me!!! Some self control finally. I just hope I can continue to lose some more weight. Fingers crossed.

*side note*-- after losing the 4 pounds I was able to fit in a pair of my favorite jeans!!!!

Congratulations! :) That is awesome, and good job on the candy - more self control than I would have! Are you really eating only proteins though? You need a balance of other things, like carbs and healthy fats as well to achieve and maintain healthy weight loss.

The main focus has been on protein because I was not consuming enough of it in the past. My diet is very low in carbs where in the past it was much higher. I always felt like I was eating pretty healthy but after re-evaluation I seen that the amount of sugar and carbs I was eating was much higher than I originally thought. Now I am just more cautious. I was spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. Now I am losing weight and sleeping so much better. That is a nice side effect of switching things up. I typically have no self control when it comes to my reeses pieces and white chocolate reese cups but over the last 5 days I have done awesome. I stood looking at the sugar free reese cups for a few minutes yesterday, but even then the reeses pieces are not so bad just as long as I limit what I am eating. But for now I would rather not have them in the house.

I am a notorious sleep walker also. So I had to make sure that there was nothing that I could get to in the middle of the night. From what I can tell there is no evidence that I have been roaming around either.
