Great way to get Vegies in the AM

I don't know about you, but I have a hard time getting all my vegies in during the day. My apologies, if this has already been posted, but I kind of did my own thing with it . . .

It's my take on the "Green Smoothie"

1 cup of chopped up Kale
1 cup of chopped up spinach
1 cup of almond milk (I used the plain, but you could use any flavor)
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt (again you can use flavored if you want)
2 T Flaxeed Meal
1 ripe banana
1/4 c natural peanut butter
ice

I started w/the kale, spinach and almond milk and blended until smooth. Then added the rest of the ingredients (except ice) and blended until smooth, then added the ice until you get the consistency you like. It makes quite a bit, so I split it in half. Drink half that morning, and the other half the next day. It was still good!

    I am so wanting to try smoothies on a regular basis! It's not that I mind cooking, but I'm a college student searching like crazy for a job, and I have to mow five hours a week because we live in the country and have a huge yard. I just don't have time for much cooking. I do, however, love throwing things in a blender and enjoying! My major psychological dietary change for this month is more veggies, whenever possible, so this works well for me. Thankee for the recipe! :happy:
