Rolling right along with 2016. This is leap year, so 29 days this month. What are your goals? What do you need to do differently from January?
Lilymay has been inspiring with quotes at the beginning of each month...let me give it a try:
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving. -Albert Einstein
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. -Confucius
Let's do this...everyone at their own pace, but moving forward!!!

My plan for 2016 is to beat my 2015 numbers.
February of 2015, I hit 100.09 miles. This year, I'm going to set my goal at 101 and strive for hitting 8 days at 5+.
We have gotten better about going to the gym, and there is no reason I can't hit 5 miles twice a week!!!
On an aside from the walking, I've been doing better with my eating and am down 10 lbs since my physical on Christmas Eve. I'm putting this out there...my Feb goal is to be down another 8 lbs. I've been weighing every other week, making my weigh-ins on the 6th and 20th...and then again on the 29 for this goal. I'm trying to make better decisions and not obsess about the # on the scale, but pay more attention to how I feel and the daily calorie #!! Hopefully doing that, will reflect on the scale (and by not weighing so often, I'm not getting discouraged by the day to day fluctuations).0 -
1st - 3.01
2nd - 2.7 (this should have been a 5 day, but my Fitbit died)
Total = 5.710 -
Barely made 100 in January.... too much life got in the way
I think February will be:
100 miles so I guess should be 105 miles...
10 over 10,000 steps
Feb 1 - 2.0 miles
Feb 2 - 2.7 miles
We have several challenges in our TOPS world - so really need to pull up my socks. Thanks mlh for the quotes and starting us off... I like the idea of beating my 2015 numbers - I have the calendars with all my miles on them.
So last February was 104.9 miles

3rd - 3.36 = 9.07 miles
I really thought I did worse than that yesterday! We had a carry in/tailgate at work, so I definitely did poorly on my calories/nutrition. I guess I got some steps with all the trips back/forth to the table...LOL. I didn't even log most of what I ate. Today is gym day and going to be back on track.
We are taking the puppy up to Indiana to visit my family this weekend. My grandpa has made the decision to stop his cancer treatment and live out what he has left, feeling like himself instead of being sick from the meds. I think I've come to terms with it and am pretty far along in my grieving. I'm hoping to start getting up there at least once a month. I've been really bad about not visiting and not even calling as much as I should over the past few years. I don't want to have any regrets over his last few months. With that said, that's where the stress and stress eating has come from, and Saturday will probably be a low number from car riding (3 hours each way) and being inside the house with him.0 -

Thank you Lilymay! I'm dreading this first post-decision visit, but know that it will be nice to spend some time up there.

This weekend went well. My grandfather is actually feeling better, being off the chemo. We had a good visit with the family. My cousin brought her 2 girls (5 and 2) over to play with the puppy...he was really excited when they got there, but calmed down to the point of laying down so the 2 year old wasn't scared of him (he's about 30 lbs right now...lol...a big puppy!). He was also an excellent car rider, and on the way home, after all the new people and playing all day, he snored the whole way home!
I've added another friend to my workweek challenge on the fitbit, so I'm going to need to step it up!
I've also got a job interview after work today! I don't know that it's going to be a good fit...or a schedule I want, but no harm in interviewing. I've been so miserable here, lately, it's going to be good to get a taste of what's out there. It's located in a very busy part of town, so if it's a M-F 8-430, I don't think I would want the commute/traffic. The goal is to get out of town, not further into it!! Again, good practice, though!0 -

Living and working in the city hosting the Super Bowl was not fun . . . between the redirects and the additional tourist I believe we are all happy it is over. I happen to work in a building that was part of SBC and they expect 2 weeks to get things back to normal - whatever that means to San Francisco. While I didn't really walk much more than usual I did discover that even though I really enjoy walking I don't like being told to walk
My plan is to keep up my daily 6 mile goal but not much more than that. I really want to focus on strength training and eating better.
2/1 - 7.31
2/2 - 11.03
2/3 - 5.64 it so frustrating when you are that close to goal, but you see your bed and . . .

2/5 - 7.85

2/7 - 8.11

Awesome #'s Adc!!
Thanks Lilymay. I had almost written off the interview, but then went anyway with no nervousness and it was among the best I've had!! Also found that the job isn't necessarily during normal business hours, so traffic might not be as big of a deal as I was thinking...that was what had me 2nd thinking it! Fingers crossed...should know if I'm going to have a 2nd interview with the whole team, by Friday. It will be nice to at least have an option.0
