I am grateful this morning for the Capricorn trait of tenacity, known to my family, husband, and friends as bullheadedness. I have been beating my head against getting a little business started and the more obstacles the I butt into, the more stubborn I become. This IS going to work. lol I insist that it will! lol

I am grateful to have MFP to distract my mine from my allergies. I got into something in Costa Rica that has really done a number on my sinus. I even got laryngitis and I have not been getting my workouts in either. Getting very tired of this. So trying to distract myself as much as possible. Grateful I can think about somethings else for at least a little bit.
Hope you all are doing well and feeling happy today.0 -
This past week I have been grateful all week for both the internet and my kindle. While searching new recipes, I downloaded 12 books on the kindle for just $3. I have been copying and sampling new vegan and gluten free recipes all week. And the internet has provided me with a wealth of information about autoimmune diseases and the process of inflammation. It has been an incredible learning experience0

Grateful this "procedure" will be over tomorrow. I really don't like white bread, rice and pasta. I have realized how much I love my chilies, peppers, etc. I also love my quinoa and brown rice, and I really have missed my greens and tomatoes. I have realized that after this one, unless they find something major, I will just rely on the home tests going forwards. I might have my mom's genes, but I have not lived on bologna, white bread, American cheese and Miracle Whip with Snickers & Dr. Pepper for dessert, my whole life, like she has. I might be at higher risk but this is just such an awful process I don't want to do it on a regular basis anymore.
Grateful for my dear, dear husband he is so supportive in all that I do. Can't imagine getting through all this without him.0 -
Grateful my husband was able to sleep through the night. He has had issues since we started on the CR trip, and they got worse this week. Finally dr. prescribed antibiotics, and he is already doing much better.0

Where did you stay in Costa Rica? I was there in May of 2014. We stayed on the Gulf of Mexico side a little north of Limon. I came home with mild diarrhea (drank the water--just once, the last day we were there.) My sisters and I were part of a conservation group to save the sea turtles from poachers. Conditions were quite rustic.0

We did the Pacific coastline and San Jose. Not as rustic as the other coast. He has a sensitive system, that is why I make sure we always have bottled water, didn't make a difference, we suspect he over did the beans and rice. He does have an intestinal infection, blood work was done. So we just have to get rid of that and he should be back to normal.
I'm sure you enjoyed working for the sea turtles. I used to live on a beach in Australia where the loggerheads nested we made sure the seagulls stayed away informal, just everyone watched out for them when hatching started.0
