Does Ground Hog Day really mean anything?

It's not fitness related per se, although if the cold winter is over, I'm happy; falling on ice and snow isn't fun, and it's easier to get out and around.

Anyway, is the ground hog always right? Is the harsh winter over?

I think Canada could be in serious trouble...

I think for me it means we usually see about it and ignore it. We might as well be reading one of those tabloids at the grocery store checkout.

But we've had a mild winter so far, and I'm good with that!

I hope he's right this year, I need nice weather on March 4th. Otherwise I'll have 70 people piled into my house for a wedding.....LOL.

Please keep your fingers crossed or light a candle or something for us!

61% ... I think that might be better than some of the local weathermen! I always thought that meteorology was the only profession where you can be wrong 60 per cent of the time and still get paid. It is perhaps getting better, but let's face it....we can't control the weather.

Here in NYC, winter has been like menopause. Hot flashes, with a heck of a mood swing in the form of a near record blizzard thrown in. Now we are back to hot flashes. I imagine winter is going to exit early and we will have a miserably hot summer. Just because.

It's an excuse for a mid-winter, cabin fever party. Sorry Phil, you and the inner council aren't right enough to be taken seriously. But I still love you.

I've been waking up to snow and ice every morning too. Blah....I'm sure this is contributing to my general malaise. At least we are supposed to have the sun today, also. The sun makes everything better. I think I may have to migrate to a new area where the sun comes out on a more regular basis.

Walked today in shorts and a t-shirt, sun was shining and there was a cool breeze. Perfect weather!

It's nice in the sun but I'm cold just in the high 40's, low 50's.
