Feeling a little blah - what's your go-to pick-me-up?

I spend so much time with doctors and physical therapy that I haven't been able to have fun during my lunch break, so I guess shopping is mine.

In the appropriate season, my Harley provides good therapeutic rides... Winter, not so much...0

Sometimes when I just need to get away (some time out), I go to the fabric store and just enjoy quietly looking at patterns and fabric. Something about it is relaxing. The music is always pleasant. It's like stepping into a different reality for an hour or so.1

During some workdays, I have moments when I listen to music.1

Mine is always going to the beach, even in the winter, but we've been too busy every weekend lately to get down there. I always tell my friends and family, if you can't find me I'll be at the beach.0

A walk down by the river, a book or music. All three work for me.1

I would say chocolate but that would be bad of me. Reading a book or feeling some sun on my face works pretty well. As does a manicure.0

I live for Saturday morning flea markets....its my time away from the family and work...nice cup of coffee... spend a couple of hours walking around looking for treasures...i can't wait for spring1

Massage therapy is a good one! I've started back in the habit of going regularly, after a hiatus of a few years.
Other things: Enjoyable exercise (especially rowing on the river on a nice day), sunshine and other outdoor pleasures, arts'n'crafts without a point other than the enjoyment (especially visual journaling & what I call "petting my beads" - going through my bead stash, looking for things to combine in a piece of jewelry . . . someday ), music (listening to, or learning to play), time with friends . . . .1 -
A nice long swim or hike does it for me.1

I love just getting outside. Watching the birds and squirrels, working in the garden, taking walks. My most trying time comes in the winter when I get stuck in the house. Good old cabin fever...yuck!2

A walk on the on beach boardwalk. I do not get there very often due to parking but when I do I love it.
Otherwise, walking and then sitting under a tree at our nearby park.1 -
I relax when I go on holiday to a little cottage in the country. No wifi ... no traffic.... not many people. Being away from the City is always relaxing for me. A nice book & a glass of nice wine.1

The introduction portion is 10 days; three minutes each day plus a few minutes worth of videos. There is a bit of free content thereafter as well but the major portion of material is available via subscription. I've only recently started using the app as I felt I wasn't getting much benefit from my self-directed meditation.

Thanks for this UncleMac. I started using it today. I've never been consistant in my practice. This looks like a great tool to make it a regular part of my daily routine. I've always found meditation helpfull in keeping the demons in their place. Way better than drowning them.

If you want a free alternative for Headspace, try Insight Timer.
It's not so 'instructional', but has literally thousands of guided mediations in many languages and different styles. It also has its 'groups', and you can connect with friends
So I jumped right into a discussion without properly introducing myself...
