The Dreaded Dining Out!

21 Day Fix has some nice swaps in the guide you can make for eating out but 21 Day Fix Extreme is a bit more limited.

I travel almost weekly for work so I've listed a few tips that work for me:

-Always travel with snacks like fruit and almonds, peanuts or sunflower seeds.
-Bring or buy lots of water.
-Get a travel blender for your Shakeology.
-I try to order sushi as often as possible with brown rice (low container counts!).
-If sushi isn't an option, I will usually order broiled salmon and replace whatever sides they are offering with a vegetable or a turkey burger w/out a bun or toppings and replace the fries with a salad w/ balsamic or oil and vinegar on the side. I always ask for no sauces, butters, etc. on my food. If you don't eat meat, veggie burgers are a good option.
-If you like alcohol as much as me, that is a tough one, but I will order a seltzer w/ lime. Sometimes with a shot of vodka : ) It is actually a lo-cal drink with most vodka clocking in at 70 calories/ounce.
-I try to stay away from main course salads as they are usually loaded with junk. A house salad with dressing on the side is usually a safe pick because house salads are small.
-I say no to the bread basket, dessert, etc.
-If menus are accessible online, I usually compare and decide where I am going to go and what I am going to order ahead of time and I stick with it.
-For many overnight trips, I find Whole Foods nearby and buy healthy food.
-I always stay at hotels with gyms and I do my 21 Day Fix stuff in the morning or evening depending on my schedule. The Whole Foods shopping is great if you have a room with a kitchen or microwave or fridge.

Happy Dining Travels!

Nice tips! I assume you mean real sushi and not something like a California roll?
They're kind of my weakness and I've been trying to figure out how in a week or two I could fit them and a bowl of miso soup in.

Right, real sushi! If you do have that meal I wouldn't beat yourself up over it as it's not the worst thing you can order out! Probably the worst part is the sodium in the soup.
