Need some advice - MTC oil

I have only a half a jar of coconut oil left (I use it daily in my BPC) and considering a bottle of MCT oil next time. it's supposed to be super good for me, give me lots of energy, suppress my hunger, make me smarter and probably clean up my karma…
anyway, the question: from your experience, the brand of MCT oil makes any difference in the potential benefits? It's difficult to find and very pricey to buy things here, so I limited by few sites that do shipping internationally.
Here thay have 16 oz MTC oil from CO for $9 (local brand) and $19.5 for another brand. aRe they all the same?

I tried the Left Coast MCT oil, cannot say I noticed any added benefits other than fat to my macros. The oil was good for adding to salads, coffee/tea and such, but not for cooking with.0

The one I am currently using is Carrington Farms. I think it's 11.99-12.99 for 16oz. Ive been able to find this one by cooking oils at bigger grocery stores. It's actually labeled as coconut cooking oil and doesn't say MCT on it except for the more detailed info on the back.
It has:
4.3g lauric acid
4.2g caprylic acid (the major brain boosting one!)
3.4g capric acid
Per 1Tbs (15ml)
I have noticed a difference using MCT over CO in my ADHD symptoms. Nothing crazy, but still noticeable. Especially on days that I skip medication. But, I've discovered Carrington Farms is one of the weakest concentrations. So I will buy something else next time.
After listening to a recent Ketovangelist podcast with Dom D'Agostino, I believe the best available MCT's based on concentration of caprylic acid anyway, are Asprey's Brain Octaine with 15g per 1Tbs or Quest's powdered MCT, which I couldn't find specific concentration for. D'Agostino says that he thinks these are the best. He specifically uses Quests because of his traveling. He thinks it's easier since you can mix it with anything without blending and he says it's dehydrated using a probiotic method so you actually get some probiotic benefit as well and it doesn't cause the potential upset in digestion that the oils can. But... 1 Amazon review says the opposite. I feel like the quest is iffy due to its other ingredients and lack of detail.
Brain Octaine is $23.99 + shipping on his site for 16 oz. or better deal on Amazon for 32 oz at $44.75 w/free shipping. Source is coconut and/or palm kernel oil.
Now Foods is sourced from glycerin, coconut and palm kernel oil. Never seen glycerin mentioned before. No info about that.
It has:
7.8 caprylic
6.2 capric
D'Agostino advises for people to include both MCT oil and coconut oil for the brnefits of both the higher concentrations of MCT's without losing the benefits of lauric acid, which most MCT oils don't include. Asprey's doesn't have lauric or capric acid.
Buried Treasure brand contains lauric acid in addition to caprylic and capric. Source seems to be coconut only. Couldn't verify but reviewers on Amazon are saying coconut only and it's labeled as "Coconut MCT oil". The lable just shows the total grams for all 3 fats being 4.75 per 1 teaspoon, not tablespoon. So assuming a similar breakdown as my Carrington Farms, it appears to be a higher concentration when multiplied by 3 to get a tablespoon.
Anyway, from your link, if it were me, I would buy the Buried Tteasure brand.0 -
Per @Sunny_Bunny_ 's recommendation in an earlier conversation, I have purchased the Buried Treasure brand. I don't have a comparison to other MCT oils, but I can definitely feel the difference in compared to using coconut oil in anything - BPC/BPT and/or fat bombs.
It is like a jolt of clear, ketone driven energy within 5 minutes. If you've ever water fasted or hit that brilliant stride of finally feeling the KETO LOVE, then you know what I mean. It is a gradual fade. I've never noticed the fade, just at some point, you're not quite as thrumming, and then it's either time for another dose (you can take it 3 times a day, per this recommendation) - or it's time to go to bed.
Personally, I'm loving this as a supplement, but I'm not blending it into anything (my coworker tried making BPC with it, and he does it with a spoon, and it separated more than his CO - and he did not notice the huge difference I did, but I'm much more on plan with my numbers than he's been lately, so I don't know if the HUGE difference is taking it separately but in the same timeframe as caffeine and/or just being sensitive to the ketone energy.
I'm planning to get the Carrington Farms brand to try as a comparison sometime this week...0
