dewdrop - I wouldn't count that as "LNS" - hope you really didn't, either!

lamlam - if your "late dinner" was within the calories you needed for the day, that is NOT (imho) "LNS"!

    LNS: 2

Yes, it was within my calories that day. Unfortunately, I've been on a little downward slide.

As modest as this is, I am happy to be in the lead again :

Sheeesh, half of July is almost gone. And half of the summer with it! Or, on the bright side: we're in the middle of the summer! it!

Had a lovely dinner out with a friend last night. Saved all my daily calories for it, in fact! Nice time. Didn't snack after it, either!

I haven't been this strong in a long time, I think. Even when I was up in the middle of the night and could not sleep, I resisted my hunger and just had a glass of water.

    Me: 10* - LNS: 8

Beeps, glad you had such a nice time last night. And that you got the point! I am proud of you .

Looks like it's been a good week for everyone else, too! dewdrop - I'm so proud of you for resisting the hunger in the middle of the night. NOT an easy thing to do!

Beeps - glad you had a nice time out with your friend and didn't munch afterwards!

On Saturday I thought I would lose the battle, but I didn't. I was strong again!
Tonight was a different story... we got home after 9 (I hadn't eaten since 5 p.m.) and I just had to eat. I didn't have to necessarily taste the cream for the cake I was making afterwards but there we are :ohwell: :

    Me: 12 - LNS: 9

Can I please leave LNS at 9?!?

I was traveling all weekend. It was a super-fun weekend. While I ate WAY too much every single day, and drank WAY too much every single evening, I didn't snack late-at-night!

Good job Beeps! It's tough sometimes. Summer is proving sooo difficult because we're so busy, and so many activities pop up...

    LNS: 7

I wasn't even all that hungry, but...I don't know. It went well with my wine. LOL At least it was a smart choice!

I do believe that life is to be LIVED, april!

Considering, once-upon-a-time, I was LNS EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, even EVERY 2nd night is a 'WIN' in my books!

    You're doing AWESOME!! Seriously....

At least it was raspberries and string cheese. Please don't tell that's OK - I can do better!

    lamlam, keep this trend going!

You're so right. I was LNS every single night too, so yay!!!

2 weeks of vacation is going to be rough, I think. So...August may end up about half and half.

April, don't be sorry! I meant it seriously: I said I lost and made this face:  and then marked the point in my account. You did not make me lose this point, did you? Did you?!? Kidding .

I am actually thrilled to say that last night I was strong again:

Just for once, I'll have a bit of understanding for the fact that upon returning home later than 8 I had dinner... when it was ready. After all, I didn't binge, I didn't stuff my face and didn't have fats or sweets.

    Hi All,

I've been an OLDIE but GOODIE here on MFP and this NO LATE NIGHT SNACKING FORUM! I've been out of it for the last 4 months...trying to make a comeback and now succeeding. But as the old saying goes "Tired of being Tired...LOL...I am getting a JUMP START in August. AMAZING how a grrreat habit of No LNS has on a person when one DOES (me). I thought of this group sooo many times as I ate LATE...and watched the pounds YO back UP. (sigh).

Anyway...READY to YO back down... *and* KICK the Processed SUGAR again. All of it worked for me, and I went BELOW my normal 'feel good' weight where I rationalized to myself that I felt good at 117. When I went BELOW that weight, and continued down HEALTHILY to 113, I felt my BEST! I have been skinny fat so often after my babies who are now 42 and 34. ALWAYS active, I could never seem to get that MUSCLE back totally. In this last year, I was able to come close, and now I am in the mindset to get back down again with NO LNS'ing and NO processed sugar. Since I can journal it (I also got away from that)...MFP is my choice...cause of all of the SUPPORT I have gotten here.

Thanks to my original pals on this forum, Dewdrop, Beeps, and Kate. I am HAPPY to cheer everyone on, likewise.

Just wanted to come in and say HAVE A GRRREAT rest of JULY, JUMPING into AUGUST with GUSTO  :drinker:

Funny, I ate much earlier and went to bed fuller then on the late-dinner nights. Which one is better?

Debi, welcome back! August is around the corner .

I don't like to go to bed hungry, Dewdrop...sooo I certainly like eating earlier and feeling *fuller* by bedtime  THANKS for the WELCOME back!! I started this journey on July 23...of "no processed sugar", eating healthily and NO Late Night Snacking...since August is right around the corner, I am making my goal to NOT Late night snack...a goal til July 31...and starting anew in August

    ...my numbers...

    July 23 - til now

    YAY...LOL

Feeling good about this!! Will now make my morning oatmeal (big smile)...

Have a WONDERFUL day everyone :)

That sounds good to me! You can't always help the late dinners. I know all about those. We eat around 7 generally, but so often we also eat later.

I did well these past two days, and they were hard days to do well with! Wednesday was a late dinner, plus my parents and in-laws were over. I was so tempted to chow down when everyone left, but I didn't! Well, I did have a snack, but I managed to squeeze it in right before my weekend/holiday cut off (i was off work Thursday, so I get some leeway when I stay up later the night before)
