Sucralose and blood levels

I recently had my fasting labs drawn and all my cholesterol levels are getting much better with this WOE. However, my glucose was a little high. I had one diet Mountain Dew 4 days prior to the blood test. Normal levels are 70-105 and mine was 115. I don't drink them all the time and I haven't had sugar except natural sugars in vegetables. I had an A1c drawn last year and it was fine. Anyone have this problem? I talked to one of my insulin dependant friends and she said diet drinks doesn't affect her blood sugars at all. Any insights on this?

Even if it did, it wouldn't be affecting it 4 days later.
Was the blood draw in the morning? Had you eaten?
Morning blood sugar is higher than other times of the day. It's related to the hormonal processes that occur as we sleep and the rise in cortisol and released glucagon from the liver upon waking.
I would think that having a fasting glucose that high would be an indication of some insulin resistance. But the great news is that a lchf is the quickest way to increase insulin sensitivity and burn off liver fat.

Yes, I had it drawn by 7am. I am a nurse at the hospital so I did it as soon as I got to work, I deliver babies so this is not my forte'...
