So here is the deal had a party at my house where I served my favorite pizza and since I have taken away pop from my diet i have been feeling strong desires to cheat on the diet. I concisously made a decision to eat one slice..... But then I ate two and had some fries.... And then my favorite honey mustard pretzels...hot tamales...etc

Don't let it get you down. Just get right back on plan.
And maybe next time reconsider making that conscious decision for just one piece. It's a bargaining method to get around what you really want. It's just too easy to keep making bargains once you get started. As you already know.
But, it's done and there's no sense letting it get to you. Every leap, every stumble is a learning opportunity on our journey.0 -
The other option would be to choose to indulge in only eating the toppings from a slice. And then go do something to remove the taste from your mouth. Chew some gum or brush your teeth or something. Any additional indulgences are then less appealing.
Also, why would you intentionally torture yourself by serving your favorite pizza? Knowing it's a slippery slope? That seems like you were either trying to make yourself feel better by withstanding the temptation - or you were intentionally torturing yourself...0 -
Maybe if you tried some "keto appropriate" appetizers (read.. party food) your next experience at having a party will be more successful. Just don't have the pretzels, hot tamales and fries there to eat.0

Must have been Pizza Weekend. I had some Pizza for the first time since last March. Only had it twice last year - both times in March. It had to be the worst Pizza I've eaten in YEARS. It was so disappointing to have waited and ended up with a "bad" pie. The next day didn't feel all that good. It wasn't worth it. I've stayed away from Pizza by eating something similar ahead of time. a Few times last year we went to kids parties at relatives that were going to be Pizza parties.
Before going I would make Italian Sausages with low card tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. I call it my pizza bowl - heat the sauce and melt the cheese in the microwave. It did help me a lot with the Pizza "cravings" since I was full and basically had eaten a non crust Pizza. Try something similar the next time you have people over for your favorite pizza.0
