I see I never posted yesterday.

Still on track with logging & staying in calories this week, so I'm pleased about that. Jason wants me to start taking in some strategic calories after my runs (specific carb/protein ratios) which is something I've never done before, so I'm trying to figure out how to do that. I have a hard time with "real" food before, during & after my run so I asked my FL for suggestions, but almost everything mentioned was real food so that didn't help much. I'll figure it out.

First week of marathon training, and so far it's going well. Had a 3 mile run & Jason on Monday, a 3 mile run on Tuesday, went for a walk & to my ZMix class yesterday, and went for a 3 mile run this morning. We have a few weather systems moving through today that will bring a possible combination of rain, freezing drizzle, freezing rain, sleet, wintry mix and snow, so that motivated me to roll out of bed early to run before that all began. It wasn't a very good run, but it's done. Jason tonight.

Excellent thread starter for me! Going out to eat tonight, but still want to make good choices with what I eat! Which will be hard because being out in the sun all day, steering boats and pulling on roaps and hoisting sails is exhausting and really works up an appetite! But it's a lot of fun! Sailing is fairly complicated with a ton of vocabulary to learn. But I think I'm picking it up pretty quick! It hit about 90, but here in Phoenix that's actually pretty nice still and out on the lake was a nice breeze. Today the temps drop to about 80 so it should be even mo beautiful! Just hoping there is more wind (yesterday was calm so it made some aspects of sailing obviously pretty difficult. I parked and docked the sailboat several times and did well. It's a lot of fun! We are hoping over the next three years to take the next two levels of sailing so we can sail up and down the coast of California for our 15th anniversary!
Basically, sailing today and then get home and get ready and head out to eat and mini-golf with several other couples. A fun filled day that I will probably pay for over the next couple of days as I scramble to catch up on chores. But it's worth it.

    Have a great day everyone!

Right leg hurting all day. Full pain, not "a little sore". In other words: it's back. I'm beside myself. I got too overconfident and wore different shoes the past couple days and even though I only walked very little, I guess it might've messed me up again. I don't know. I just can't believe I put up with this pain for so long. It HURTS! And it puts me in a terrible mood, unable to cope with much of anything. sigh. That's it. If I don't have any good news soon, I might sequester myself from here, because I hate being such a downer in the "daily workout" group when i can't even work out. Also, today was just a little crazy (a lot crazy) with the kids.

Sherry we all have bad times even those that last a long time, dont go for that reason. If all we wanted was a happy happy echo chamber none of us would be here!!

Laura glad to hear things are going better for you.

Val sailing sounds like fun, my grandfather built his own sailboat, such a purist he used even wooden nails. I have a pic of me in my moms arms as a baby on his boat. My uncle also had one, problem was by the time i got old enough to enjoy they didnt have any more...

Meanwhile for me still struggling with food and sinus stuff. Its garbage day here and just taking garbage out, then putting both cans in front and washing a few dishes, you would think i worked all day. I feel exhausted!

I know how you feel Sherry, i wish i could report i got my motivation back and sugar is no longer a problem. For me just taking it one day at a time and hoping i wake up more motived soon!

A friend offered to pay my way to going back to Reno this weekend, i know when i am sick to turn down a free fun trip...ugh....

Marla is right - this isn't just a place to come when things are awesome. It's a place to come when you need to get advice, or just vent.
