AnyTips for New Divers?

I am adding diving to my swim. To clarify, I am only diving from the edge of the pool in the deep end. I have been diving in once or twice on each set (4 freestyle, 4 breast, 2 fly).
I am not comfortable with either the breathing or the posture. I tend to hold my breath because I am a chicken and I am not very flexible yet. I am doing some stretching to help, but I am hitting most time with my chest first.
Any help would be appreciated. I am going to do the biathalon again this year and I would really like to be able to dive, instead of jumping in with my nose plugged, like I did last year.
Thanks!

BTW, on the times when I have nailed the breathing, it has been AMAZING!0

Mmm no expert here... But When I had swimming improver lessons we had a couple of sessions on learning to dive - and the part that surprised me most was how much of the dive came from pushing 'up' with your legs. Once I used my legs like s releasing spring everything else fell into place (entry position, relaxing, etc).
So the action is more push up than push towards the other end of the pool, or not push at all..gravity then sorts out the curve that helps the hands/head go in first.
We did all the start from a sitting position on side of pool, then a crouching one etc etc you see the kiddies do in their lessons.
So maybe start from basics again - to get the correct feel?
But to be honest I soon added diving to my list of 'maybe tomorrow's. Those times you get it wrong really hurt!!

My goodness! Where've you been? Gone for months (or is it years?) then you come back with no fanfare!
Welcome back
