Interesting. So you're pretty much very-low-carb without really targeting it. I'm curious if you've ever tried to measure your ketone levels. Did you track your health markers along the way?
14 years of maintenance is great. I hope I can say that one day.
Granted, when I make a big pot of lentils, my carbs will be much higher, but so will my fiber.
Right. You're in and out of ketosis often. I have to believe that's the sort of environment we evolved in. Feast and famine. Carnivore one day, vegetarian the next. We're opportunists.
No side effects for you when you transition from low to higher or vice versa?0 -

None that I've ever seen. Again, I've never actually considered that I may be in ketosis at times. I don't honestly know. I eat a crap ton of vegetables, so I've never even really considered myself low carb. I'd bet I vary between 75-150 (gross). But all very low glycemic. Dunno. It's how I've eaten for 14+ years now. I know I feel so so so so much better than I felt eating high carb/high glycemic AKA SAD diet, that's for sure.0 -
Awesome, congrats Sabine!
Your consistent work is a real model to follow. *cheers!*0 -
Loved your intro. Thanks! I'm intrigued by your woe. I'm exploring various options for maintenance (since I'm close, or there; I haven't quite decided
).
