Hi guys,
I have started again this week on my diet plan, i am now at my heaviest . I was looking through old photos, some of years back and some of last year and i was shocked....
Im not a confident person at all and would rather just stay at home all the time instead of going out mixing with others.
I will start 1 week and think right this is it...do well and then by the week after im eating crap again.
I would love to get some buddies on here to support one another.. please add me and heres hoping to sticking with it this time.

@kezz2325 welcome! I've been exactly where you are now! What has worked best for me is to abandon the idea of a diet that you're either on or off. Instead I've made many small changes, one at a time, so that they've become closer to habits. For instance, cutting down on one non-nutritious food at a time. Or substituting a fruit for a sugary dessert a meal or two a week. I know it sounds like it will take forever. But I've managed to lose a lot of weight over the past couple years AND keep it off with small, sustained changes. Just a thought for you to consider.

Hi kezz, i think we can all share a story or two of how we were similar! Its not easy, some good advice I got was to just make a little change at a time and dont commit to something your not willing to do for life! I lost 21 lbs only in my first year on here, but it's 21 lbs i dont have now! I hate running so im not going to be a runner, easy stuff

    Hi Kezz!

We all got here over a lifetime of choices and it'll take a while to retrain our thoughts and feelings.

As the ladies said above, try not to overwhelm yourself. Small changes add up over time and we have each other as support and help.

    :)

Welcome! My journey started this past November after my surgery. It forced me to start making better food choices or not eat at all. Not saying I haven't fallen a few times because I have. The important thing is...when you fall, you get back up, dust yourself off, and get back on that wagon. Just remember small, steady weightloss is best. Gives us time to form those new, better for us, habits. You can do this! We can all do this together, so let's get moving!

Just plan on making a lifestyle change. Think of your heart being healthier and your body getting stronger... YOU are worth it. I do not want to be diagnosed with high blood pressure or diabetes so that is part of what keeps me commited. I was certainly headed down that path. I have only lost 16 pounds so far but guess what? I get less winded, my clothes are loosening up, I have more energy. So it is more than just a poundage thing:.:

Good luck in this journey... I sent you a friend request :). I love seeing all the progress of my friends here... Keeps me motivated!!

ohhh, I am right there too! Start out doing great on Monday===by the weekend I am out of control! :s I am adding folks to my friend list---I have trouble getting in the boards very often (work is crazy) but I will make more of an effort. Open to weekly challenges or anything similar. Friend me! I do track every day, and try to keep up with the thread.
